Bugged Alchemy

I'm not 100% sure it is a bug or if I've missed something. But there are no Alchemy tasks that rewards the Basic Alchemical Knowledge.
I've been stuck at Level 2 for a while now. I can do other tasks but none of them rewards me any Basic Alchemical Knowledge.

I've used the Gateway to do profession stuff and companion adventures. Did that break the game for me?
Is it possible to get any form of help on this topic?

Leveled to rank 5 exclusively through gateway on my new character this week. Sometimes when you leveled up your rank (any profession) it may stuck and not rank it up, but loggin in-game should solve this prob (maybe relog in gateway will work too).
And don't forget that when you do alchemy experimentation in gateway, you will not get any visual confirmation of getting basic alchemical knowledge, you will just, apparently, get the unstable potion. But checking "Alchemical Research" you can see "1/3", "2/3" or "3/3" if you really got that basic alchemical knowledge from your last research. When you reach 3 of these, you will only receive unstable potions if you do more research.

This is a very important tip: you have to watch for when "Alchemical Research" becomes doable, because you don't get a visual confirmation of the scrolls of Basic Alchemical Knowledge.

Also, if you are not seeing the task at all, make sure you haven't checked the box that says "hide tasks with unmet requirements". That's the only way to know where you stand.

Just to make sure you know, it's a random chance to get the alchemical knowledge scrolls from running the Rank "#" Experimentation. It will always give you an unstable potion, and as already stated, on the gateway it won't tell you that you received the knowledge, even if you did. When you have enough to do the task, Alchemical Research will become available, and that will rank you to the next level.

Oh ok. So silly that they can't list the scrolls as a random reward for that task. So we don't have to come here and post about it to learn this.
