Question regarding Overflow Experience

venjendorzvenjendorz Member Posts: 22 Arc User
Hi,

I was wondering what amount of overflow experience will carry over from level 60 to level 70?

Is it going to be only the current amount of experience we have in the bar (i.e. if we have 200,000 exp, this is how much we will get back at level 70)?

Or

Will we get the experience from all overflow levels (i.e. if we leveled 6 times, and have 50,000 exp in our overflow bar we would gain [ 6 x 250,000 ]+ 50,000; or 1.55 million exp)?

Anyone at 70 able to answer this question? Or a mod?

I suspect that if building up say 6 lvls of xp without claiming the prizes in current mod would allow you to claim all 6 prizes (and not just one rest of xp lost), the same will be true for mod 6.

But no way to be sure unless someones tested in in preview.

...I see wall of flames ahead, crying "Expoit!!!"

I suspect you won't get the XP, just the rewards.

I think the replies you have so far are not answering your question. Any level 60 toon will have some overflow experience, that is, XP accumulated since dinging 60. Mod 6 will "park" that extra XP and you will begin to level as if you are a new lvl 60. Once you hit lvl 70 the overflow XP will be restored and will continue to increases as it does now, occasionally wrapping around and giving you a small random reward.

Any overflow experience you have when M6 comes will be saved. When you get to level 70, you Overflow experience will re-appear and you'll start off where you left off.

On March 17th, players will be able to begin making their way toward Neverwinter’s new level cap of 70. Any Overflow Experience characters currently have will be stored and returned to them upon reaching level 70, where they will again have the chance to obtain Overflow Experience. The Overflow Experience rewards will also be improved, giving players higher quality refinement items in addition to Power Points.

If you leveled 6 times and had half a level on your bar -- and let's say you were lucky and got power points on all 6 overflow levels -- you will still have those 6 bonus power points to spend, and the half level of overflow xp will be saved until you turn 70.

However, they have now gated some powers so that you need to be level 65 and have 65 power points, or level 70 and have 70 power points. So people who have played a long time do not have an advantage as to getting the shiny new powers sooner - they will just be able to put points into them fast at 65 and 70.

...something still unclear: What about the current excess Power Points I already earned (and spent)? Will those be -

    - available immediately, and spendable on powers up to rank 3
    - available immediately, and spendable on any powers
    - given back to me at Lvl 70 in the number as I have them now?
    - withheld after patch, and reawarded (with that element of chance...) based on the summed up amount of overflow experience I had earned up to now?

I'd be grateful for any information.

As I said just above your post, if you respec you can spend all the extra power points immediately, but rank 4 and several new powers are locked until lvl 65 and lvl 70.

So it is best to only put points in the powers you use at 60, and save your extra points for rank 4s and new powers as you unlock them.

This is as of yesterday; so take with a grain of salt.

    You'll keep the points.
If we don't get a respec those points will remain spent on whatever they are now.
If, as we expect, we get a full or partial respec then those points will be included in the pool of points to be spent on anything you can spend points on.
    So you won't lose out.
