Do you expect to be able to dodge poison? Do you expect Dodge to prevent you from bleeding out? And why "broke"? If this is about undodgeable CC, how could it be designed any differently? I don't see how Constricting Arrow works any differently from HR at wills. If I can get a lock on you, I will strike you. The trick is getting a lock.

kang, I can honestly say there's nothing that's not undodgeable in the TR's arsenal. The only undodgeable power we had was Shocking Execution and this was changed in mod5. TRs have an assortment of slows, which are all dodgeable. Stuns? Interrupts? Every single one of them dodgeable.
All the CC powers are striking powers which require a hit, hence dodgeable, and even concussive strikes -- a short daze -- is dodgeable. When the target dodges it the text pops up but the daze does not happen (no idea why this happens, since the text also pops up against CC-immune PvE targets as well, and CS doesn't have any other buff/debuff properties).
For CWs, they have Ray of Frost, the ice-beam thingy. Yes, this is undodgeable, hence have been subject of complaints and objections throughout the entirety of this game, until finally the devs have put up freeze immunity times to stop chain freezing using its undodgeable properties. Also, the power itself is actually dodgeable since the freeze doesn't stack up while you're in a dodge. What it does, is the power doesn't stop channeling, but still maintains it on the target throughout the process. When you uses all your dodges in a row you can actually prevent being CCd and buy enough time to escape.

yea well..maybe its my ping but they sure looks undodgable to me no matter how hard i try to dodge..yea CW icy ray is a pain before the change but now i think its ok..just the strangle thing that make me fear most...and that gwf stun..i remember being able to dodge it but it followed me after my dodge..probably my dodge is too short as i played HR recently.

Evidently "undodgeable" is some sort of gamer categorical imperative that I'm unaware of. I say this whole debate is moot. Anybody here actually play Trapper? Constricting Arrow works with the same mechanics as most of the HRs' ranged at wills. Same as Disrupting Shot. (Lock and fire.) Slow it down and it might be interrupted, but I can't see it being dodged. Change that mechanism and you've changed the entire class.
UNDODGEABLE is okay, then obviously you should have zero gripes about how GWFs and SWs have no way of avoiding SE, am I correct?

I'm asking for a bug fix here which is the fact that roots are not dodgeable and the tooltip does not suggest that they are not dodgeable.

U know..tool tip does'nt explain everything if its dodgeable or undodgeable. U cant judge a skill if its buggy due to what tooltips say. Just look at CW's enstrangle for example, it doesnt say anything about dodgeable or undodgable yet its undodgeable. If u were judging this based on tool tip, u just makes most of the CC skill in the game buggy which most of them isnt but its working as intended. I say just accept it as part of the game and move on. Let the developer decide the nerf/boost and bug fixing. Only the developer has the right to judge if its a bug or wai.

I am not a Trickster Rogue in real life I'm a person and what mentality of yours cannot comprehend that I am not one with my class? How can you speak about some thought of yours as a fact? Have you watched the 2nd video? It was contributed to this topic by Obsydian666 which is a CW actually. I'm not the only person who thinks there is something wrong with the rooting skills and that has nothing to do with me having a trickster rogue because the rooting mechanism does the samething to every class. Some classes have immunity and some don't. You are just trying to blame trickster rogue class withtout contributing something useful here. I never defended my class as it was perfect and I hear complaints about TR and i agree with many which i see fair. But If something is broken it's broken and HR roots are one of them according to my perspective and I see many others on this topic that agrees with me. I want to point out to HR roots. I'm a Trickster Rogue and no matter how hard i dodge or dodge constantly, I get rooted anyways. Why can't I dodge HR roots, seriously? Is this intended or a bug? If this is intended, it is ridicilous because I cannot even move without using ITC and dodging it is impossible. There is no defense against this and it is really senseless. The tool tip on the HR skills doesn't even mention something line "undodgeable" so I believe this is not intended. This skill is buggy and needs and urgent fix. Please watch the demonstrations I uploaded.

Well as a Tr with so many bugs like feat resets due to dubbleproc, daze proc from lighting the list is long how many post have you done about your own class.
Tr rule as gods in pvp and asking for nefs to other classes because you want to be even more OP can be a bit provocative to say the least....
However your ofc free to do so but the tone of this thread leans toward its a bug and weather its a bug or wai only the devs knows.
Tr with gwf is the only class that actually can ignore most of it (dc dont move any way due to astral so they ignore it any way).
Cw can still use spells so can sw if cought and gf blocks it with shield (can be a pain as gf i admit) and the one that suffer the most is actually other Hrs. Being cought with it as a Hr mostly means death as we are extreamly depending on movement...
All in all being a pain in pvp as all ccs its hardly a pressing matter compared to many others ......
