In every mmo i've played (which isn't many) you can see on the mini map other players/guildies/friends/admins clearly defined on the map with those triangle icons or w/e on the mini map, however, in Neverwinter all you see is yourself and the other party members. I feel like this makes the game feel kinda EMPTY, like noone is online except me. I think the DEVs should change the minimap like how they have it in other mmo's like WoW where on the mini map you can see everyone who is on the same instance as you and your friends/guildies player icons on the mini map are a different color to indicate a different icon like a green triangle for "guild member"or a blue triangle for "friend" and the same grey triangle for everyone else in that instance, and maybe also orange icons for player admins
. I feel like with this tiny change you would feel like the game is full of real players online playing neverwinter just like you and that would make a huge difference to the feel of the game, because right now i feel like i'm playing a solo RPG and not an mmo.

Except for open PVP areas, where you don't want anyone to see exactly where you are.
I would be in favour of players, NPCs and enemies being represented on the mini-map as small dots of different colours, say, green, blue and red respectively, but only those that are in line of sight.
edit: just found out that hiding the minimap works, did not try it for years... and the clock is attached to it so nvm )
i think companions on minimap would get confusing, especially in instances where there is a lot of people concentrated in one area but that could be good.
