Smart Spending in the AH Question

There's a mount for sale for 2450 ZEN. I can't recall what the little golden discount things you get in-game are called, but I believe you get one for a mount discount at level 20 related to your box or the mount quest. I also don't recall the discount %.

Do these stack? Let's say it's a 20% discount from the level 20 thing. That's 490 ZEN saved.

So, if I have no free character slots, would it be worth my while to buy 2 character slots for 500 ZEN, quickly level someone up to 20 (I only have 2 characters total, both at 60, so I've been thinking on doing this anyway... and one's a GWF, so that's a useless character) and then use the discount. Despite the GWF being useless, I have faith they'll decrapify the class at some point, so I don't want to delete him just to make room for a character slot.

So, it would basically be the same as getting a mount, plus 2 character slots for only 10 more ZEN, which is notable. Although it's assuming a 20% discount and that stacking works.

I have right now only enough ZEN for the mount and I can't buy any ZEN right now, although I encourage spending money on the game to keep it worth running.

I can probably level a toon to 20 in a few hours or maybe 2 days played casually.

They do not stack. Mount coupon is 15% off any Zen Mount, comes in the Adventurer's box when you hit level 20 IIRC and lasts 60 minutes then goes poof if you don't use or discard it.

Extra character slots is never a bad thing, if you have time to micro manage. If anything, they can start their way on invoking and leadership. I wouldn't open any of the leveling adventurer's boxes until you are ready to use the coupon contained within. The coupons only last for 60 min.

The cheapest normal priced epic mount is the Stormraider Clydesdale at 2500 zen - 20% = 2000 zen

Depending on how desperate you are for an epic mount, a sale is rotated every week which may or may not include a mount. It's possible to get more than 20% discount then but sale price does not stack with an additional coupon. Too bad you missed the winter sale.. many epic mounts were like 40% off.
