Nope. You can have them give players items that are pertinent to the quest, disguised as merchants. They can not sell potions or kits at all. Several authors use this method to track players' decisions throughout the quest, but at the expense of inventory space. It's a trade off that some players do not like, but a capable method creating variety.

Sadly it's not possible, I don't see why, just a regular merchant wouldn't be much of a problem.

Most merchants offer the same inventory, I don't know why we can't include the basic merchant template.

Fear of gold farmers, maybe. Though... haha... farming gold in Neverwinter... hah!

Honestly, the real answer is probably the same "we'd love to, but money" that applies to most foundry woes.

So you're saying they are afraid of people being able to actually collect and sell all of the junk loot that they get in Foundries? That would mean "we are going to give you **** rewards, and we want to make sure you can't take all of it, because we are worried people will be able to sell off too much junk."

I regards to the "We'd love to, but money" excuse for no merchants; I don't see how that would take a lot of money to implement. They are right there in the game, it seems like it should just be a matter of finding the code and using a "copy-paste."

They're even summonable through an artifact. If they can make it so you can do that, they should certainly be able to make it so one can be in a Foundry quest.

It does seem like one basic consumables merchant per map (like with the respawn points) would be extra handy. As an NPC it would also be good if we could put them in a costume of our choice.

I'd be cool with it being a special. 1 per map, with the edit popup thing having a "contact" box so we can give it dialog, and a costume.
