I personally think we need to raise the Gear Score requirement for the Tiamat event. Please vote on options and give some feedback.

I could get behind an increase to 14.5k, but not much more than that is needed once people figure out how we are doing it.

The gs requirement Elol and Esot are 13kgs so Tiamat should be 14k++++++

I have no idea what a 10-13k gs player can do in Tiamat:)

I don't think this is an issue of gear score so much as design that's too specific for pugging.

15.000 GS should be a requirement.
Not to exclude players but to encourage them to get a higher GS and to give other players a serious chances to win. I have the feeling that the only problem with the Tiamat Encounter is a lack of organization because of too many random people and no real communication channel (in addition the encounter is new and not everyone get the mechaninc) AND some randoms have 10.000 GS and that is pathetic because i can get 12.000 GS alone with Rank 1 Equipment, Rank 6 enchantments, an cheap belt (wisdome for my cleric twink) which i get to purple and blue shirt with jeans.

Perhaps it may be better to just ask for an "Epic" level encounter, with a 15k GS requirement. Instead of looking to exclude people from the chance to participate in the HE.

Coz <15k gs (or at least 14k gs) are a waste of a player slot. I wish more people would add debuffs though.

    tousseau I agree
I think once we learn how to space and spread teams evenly we will win more and stop all the blaming of others, maybe some are right about highering the GS a little but only playing a few matches for a week or 2 will truly show if this needs doing, playing 1 or 2 then blaming low GS is jumping the gun.
One thing I would love more than anything to see in the well of dragons at this time would be a GM to hand out 20 min bans to all these angry kids who mouth off every 20 seconds, today has been bad so much anger in zone chat last week it was the Dc's fault they suffered abuse this week under 15ks.

    Hmm. Lets think about this....

    Castle Never? 9.2k GS
    Valindra's Tower? 10.5k
    Normal Lair of Losmouth? 10.5k
    Normal Shores of Tuern? 10.5k
    Kessel's Retreat? 12k
    Epic Lair of Losmouth? 13k
    Epic Shores of Tuern? 13k

A FRICKING DRAGON GODDESS WHO WILL DESTROY THE ENTIRE FLURKING WORLD? 10k

    ....

This is silly. Herpy-Derpy 10ks barred from even NORMAL difficulty skirmishes get to fight a goddess.

I successfully nine-manned Tiamat in preview. Preventing pre-made parties from entering together and allowing 10ks entry are the only reasons Tiamat hasn't been destroyed every single time in every single instance. The fight is elegantly designed, but ridiculously easy. Even with Tiamat's supposedly increased difficulty I believe two 5-man guild parties could take Tiamat. I KNOW three parties would wipe the floor with her. Let me be blunt. The bar is set this low for a reason.

Temple of Tiamat isn't Player versus Encounter. It's Player versus Interface. Tiamat isn't hard. The players allowed inside are weak.

    Suggestion:

Make the fight itself challenging rather than throwing the gates open to any fresh lvl 60 with 30k AD and mod 4 completion.

The dps requirements of the raid are so high that 10-12kgs in any volume will not allow the zone to completed.

I'm afraid that's true. 25 people with GS around 15k sounds like a way to go if one wants to finish it with a success. The amount of damage the dragon's heads do and the amount it takes to finish her off demands a higher DPS output from each individual player + self-healing and life steal to be high as well. Otherwise just approaching a head kills you.

I voted 12k GS, because I think 15k is setting it too high, realistically I think 13k or 13.5k is probably the sweet spot. This ensures that you've put some work into your gear, without requiring legendary anything.

And just inspecting people standing outside the door I'm seeing even many of those with over 15k GS have achieved that by 2+2 sets rather than using a complete set with a good pve bonus. This might be a result of the /lfg spam requiring 16k+ GS for Pirate King. :P

I saw a trend in MMORPGs to lower the bar, so make endcontend playable for the masses. While a few years ago, it was normal, that on a server with 1.500 ppl 50-100 completted the end contend sucsessfull, now it seems, that everyone has to be included. The fact is, that a 10k player cant hhelp his team very much. He lacks dps and will be dead 50% of the time.

I did a ELOL PuG run with my 17,5k GS DC in full debuff/ buff mode and was Paingiver after the first trashpulls. All PuGs had less than 14k GS. They had a 100% dmg buff and my DC did more dmg than DDs. I think, that they should ask for 14k GS at last.

To be honest, if you could group up for this runs, who would take 10k mates? Maybe, if it is in farmmode and you need one or 2 more ppl to fill the gaps, but atm most ppl wold go for a lfm 15k+ instead of lfm 10k+.
Chars: CW, DC, GF, GWF, HR and TR.
