Delay completion on profession timers in game?

Ever since module four dropped, profession timers take an additional 5 seconds to complete and only one completes at a time.

for example. I start 9 quests for 8 hours each. If I log in 7 hours 58 minutes later and watch them turn over or if i log in 10 hours later, I have to wait about 5 seconds per task for them to complete one at a time till all nine are complete.

This is INCREDIBLY annoying and i cannot believe no one has not reported it before now. I know I have taken quite a long time to get around to reporting it but I just am in disbelief that this bug was unnoticed by anyone else.

When accessing professions using gateway, this problem is nonexistent. There is a big disconnect here when gateway is faster than the in game portal to manage professions......

This is not a bug, rather, it is to combat leadership bots in game.

Yeah, well how come it is we avid players who are getting the stinky end of it?

Hope it eradicates all the bots soon, because I can't think why I would want to stick around and be punished for the creativity of botters (that is NOT an endorsement!) or the lack of same in combatting them.

Unfortunately, in my experience in MMOs, game companies in general take the "nuclear bomb to swat a gnat" approach to countering illicit activity. It is what it is, though.

The solution is very easy:

Log into Gateway and roll your D20 in SCA for your daily reward. While doing that, all completed profession tasks are recorded. In-game go to Professions and you don't have to wait at all AND you have your daily SCA D20 prize.

You can do this in ARC by pressing your SHIFT-TAB, so you're not having to pop out-of-game to do it.

Could anybody explain me how does it hurt bots? Unlike the players, they have a plenty of time and don't get frustrated.
