E-Mails that had items are automatically deleted?

I'm asking this because like 5 days ago I took all the items from a lot of things I sold, but I didn't delete any e-mail... now each time I enter it seems that some e-mails are getting deleted automatically (it seems that it's something like, if you took an item from a E-mail from 5 days ago, then the E-Mail is going to be deleted).

But maybe it's a bug, somebody know?.

    Yes, Auction House mail in which the items have already been redeemed is automatically deleted after 5 days. That was an update which went in maybe nine to twelve months ago to make it a little easier on players.

    This seems to be a 'feature' which is good as otherwise most AH lurkers would have a mailbox with a zillion empty emails obscuring all the ones with items/AD.
