I guess the best bet is to continuously run CN and in the downtime make sure you farm Sharandar to make Lesser Fey Blessings, and do the daily Dread Ring Lair for the Greater Marks.
Can you afford to buy lesser dragon hoard's enchants? If you can then once you have finished the Sharandar and Dread ring run the four daily foundries and choose arena style Foundries with lots of monsters. If you don't have the Dragon's Hoard (or at least Fey Blessing) enchants then Foundries don't seem to have a good enough return for the time spent.

Run cn.
Flip items works too but is risky and requires capital investment.
there is no fast way to make fast AD otherwise the cash player$ would not charge zen anymore, maybe the rich ones who likes to get things perfectly and instantly done, the drop rates in game has been lowered even for purple gear drops or enchants.
But at least you can get a decent AD if you know the auction demands ,for example a week or 2 ago there was a lack of apothecary, were only 5 and each were selling for 50k ! if you had an apothecary or 2 you could sell them fast for a decent price of 5k each, also every assets higher lvl in apothecary was a serious lack , assistant alchemists were 100k . So i'd suggest to hire assets with your professions with your alt character too and sell only the wanted. From my experience the leadership assets are not very wanted in the last 3 months.
Craft aqua vitae, aqua regia if you set the cheapest prices it will sell in no time. Also professions materials such as pelts might sell well, i didnt checked these .
Another way to make some AD is to upgrade Radiant, Dark, and a pet stone , empowered or profane to level 5, these are selling fast in the auction, the average price is now at 3500 AD ,before refine event was 2600 AD but for this you to invest some AD to buy a stack of lesser mark of potency which is around 250 AD each mark , the wondorous bazaar sells it for 500 AD.
As i predicted this in zone chat in summer event map, the prices of fey blessings and dragon hoard enchants (lessers) now are higher with refine event ,making a lesser fey to go up from 48k to 85k and lesser dragon hoard from 90k-before refine event, to 140k-as it was 2 weeks ago. Means there is a high demand now for these.
The best investment which you can do it right now, if you don't have fey blessing or dragon hoard (do not combine them on your gear it wont work one type) is to buy a a lesser of these 2 types, only one type and run your favorite dungeon.Once you get some enchant drops use them for refine (u wont find such a double refine event every month and upgrading with refining stones or enchants something takes forever) or sell them.
When you got AD buy the 2nd Utility lesser enchant to increase your chance to 2% and later go for the 3rd .
If you have a wizard with powerful aoe u might want to farm some foundry maps, some of them are even approved for daily reward, i mean so to farm some mobs packs for drops chance but remember to take a small break between mobs packs of 10 seconds or so for a cooldown enchants chance. To find such a farm map, just search in New or Best in foundry for the word "farm" or so. Once you find one good for you, Subscribe to it to find it easily next time. I don't why or how or if it's just me but the tough mobs in Foundry, got a better chance for drops, than normal (maps) daily mobs such as Black Ice maps or the new mobs Cult of Dragon.Foundry mobs drop chance can be compared also with the dungeon mobs which is higher than normal mobs
Even if you dont use the refine event and you sell the drops ,later you can buy better enchants for your gear so its a long time investment to buy a 2nd lesser utility enchant.
Do not buy to resell things from/to auction, it's very risky ,the market fluctuates .
Focus on these 3 things for now:
Professions - apothecary (level it to max and make it priority instead of leadership- there is refine limit of 23 or 24k so leadership its not so great if u do dungeons, leadership is good for an inactive (low geared) character)
Gems lvl 5 -radiant, dark
Utility slots - lesser enchants slotted asap.
As for dungeons, i'd say to look at the auction prices for the gear dropped from that instance , for example FH , a hrimnir ring i think, 2 days ago was 16k but to salvage it u get only 8k or so.
Also a T1 part set dropped by Idris sells for 70k , so there is a profit in this too.
So u need to see the profit from many ways and later when u make a sum ,ull see that u got a decent amount. But if u aim to make millions in few days then the online games are not for this lol, they're tested for days, months, years by devs at any time, even a party member from a dungeon can be a developer tester to see how everything works, to make millions in no time try an offline(DVD) game .
open beta player of some PWE games - north america launched versions:
- PWI - November, 2008 (2 months after North-America-West Coast open beta)
- Forsaken World - open beta
- BOI - open beta
- Star Trek Online - ftp January, 2012 and rank 14 STO Wiki contributor
- Neverwinter open beta June, 2013 Daily Foundry "Canyon of the Dead" ( NW-DBPJYKMRE ) - dungeon
Unfortunately CN isn't as profitable as it once was. To the point where I personally don't feel like doing it. If it makes you feel better, having millions was also not enough for me. Kept needing a lot of gmop and that's ignoring upgrading my artifacts to legendary. Not really sure what to suggest, I just seem to find that things are most profiable if you've already made that AD.
You can do luck based things like running dungones, but you most likely won't get a big enough drop. You can do dailies, but you probably won't find yourself over 50k AD a day from dailies.
The best way in my opinion to get quick AD in this game is flipping items, but if you aren't established yet and don't have a lot of time to play around with these things, your only option is to pay (Or continue doing dailies for a few weeks)
Think long term. If you ever want to have enough to compete with the completely maxed out individuals you should always have a very large set of base AD for investing and set a limit on it so that you do not spend any AD that would put you under that amount. I'm still at rank 9s and haven't yet gotten a legendary artifact, but I have ~12M that I am always investing. I didn't participate much in the double refinement event because I only had ~1M extra over my cap to use for refinement. If I blew more on it, I wouldn't be able to make significant AD in the future to get me to where my end goals are. It took a long time to get the concept, but in games like this with such a steep/expensive progression, you need to be very strict + patient when it comes to getting funds if you want to be competitive. You also cannot use conventional methods if you want to achieve it. This is even more true for a game such as this where change comes so often and so drastically.
What good is scrapping together another 1M for a double refinement event if you could use that 1M to invest and get say 500k AD a week from it instead of being broke with ~100k only being able to get 50k a week from it with the same ratio? Random numbers for an example, but you can see the point as the concept is very relevant to how it works.

Three days is a very short time frame.
