Can we get some costumes that aren't all clean cut and pretty? Don't get me wrong, a few of those look nice and all, but diversity is great. Maybe some Calimshan clothing, some travelers robes, vests, maybe even tattoos.
The IWD costumes were a good start. But even the recent blacksmith apron looks very nice and clean cut.

I agree.. none of my chars would dress like this... and if the armor they chose looked like this frilly junk, they would wear over-tunics or robes.
(Not saying that is what you are asking for.. but for diversity, and choices.)
Rhyon Cawdorian GWF | Opa Loka TR | Cormac Argentus III DC | Annika Thornblade GF | Aerys Skydark HR | Bartin Findlor TR | Aellia Baalthrall CW | Lucan Hawkmoon CW | Opa Brahk GWF | Korzbyrk DC | Den Kruk GWF | Jherek Skarsin CW |
Roland Mac Sheonin GF | Tarron Direheart SW |
The 'Dragonborn Ceremonial' set is pretty nice. Simple leathers. When dyed it looks pretty cool.
I agree - very utilitarian-looking, like everyday wear, rather than pomp-and-circumstance. It turns out that Dragonborn "ceremonial" wear on no Dragonborn is a much better value (for me) than I anticipated - a lot of my alts are with it now.
We need more "rough wear" to be introduced, stuff that looks more utilitarian and functional in an everyday kind of way, less than armor and leathers, but doable for working in the pigsties of Neverwinter.
Whenever I start an MMORPG with medieval atmosphere I start looking for normal clothes; not noble, not poor, just normal medieval clothes. All I found here is costumes of rich people and the starting costume that looks like a potatoes sack.
Don't waste more time on masks please. No one uses them, and they are silly.
Clothes real people would wear please.
Also I did an internet search, on neverwinter clothing, and came up with links to What must be an Asian version of Neverwinter with all sorts of cool clothing. The site redirected me to arc in 10 sec of course. I saw pics of neverwinter characters wereing Nurse outfits, Lolita dresses, and other bizzare things. Very pretty outfits. It seem they have made lots of cosmetics already but just not released them ont he international server.
I guess that makes sense. However obviously they have developed lots of cosmetics with this game engine.
It would be nice to see some of those brought over. Obviously some modifications would need to be made for setting kosherness.
Perfect world and Neverwinter are completely different engines. Neverwinter runs on the same engine that Champions and Star Trek uses. You are more likely to see costumes from those games make a cross over here, then anything in Perfect or forsaken world.

Kahn outfit on my GWF FTW. Yeah, I'd pay a dollar for that!
And speaking of... that really WOULD be the kind of thing I'l like to see in neverwinter, though not quite as torn up or open, but the it still is 'less' that adventuring gear, but more that "potato sack commoner" outfits and such.

So are Skyrim and the Witcher 2, and yet modders are constantly capable of porting over Witcher 2 meshes and textures to Skyrim (with permission from the developers, too). It's not that farfetched when you have the source codes to work with, and it's not as much work as designing something new.
After all, anything already done in engine, can be tweaked and modded much easier then having to create new textures and meshes. While textures might be easy to copy, from one game to the next, the meshes wont be. And if the differences in the meshes are significant enough, even the textures will need to be completely new due to potential tearing or stretching.
Modders also do their work, most often, for free, and rarely need to concern themselves with a cost/benefit analyst. Easier, in this case, will always make those things look more positive. And therefore more likely.
Tasks include Leather and cloth torso, sleeves, thighs, shoes, shins, headbands, skirt, dress etc
Leveling in outfitting lets you combine any of those in one of the 3 fashion slot and adds new ones like cloth sleeves with leather elbow pad or Mithral headband with cloth veil.

This is the reason why I jumped at the chance of getting the blacksmith outfit - it wasn't some frilly dress! The IWD sets are pretty good as well.

Yep, I'd like to see some "everyday" costumes, or profession-based costumes (like the Blacksmith one), rather than more ceremonial stuff that doesn't fit unless there is an event running...
I would like for the non very refined stuff be tailor made. Make this part of the player economy. Also if we get a few more advanced things, we'de need to cross use professions.
Leather boots on the bottom outfit requires making boots from leatherworking for instance. Or a leather belt, things like that.
i do like to see more armor customization options like i want body from this armor and shoulders from other or 1 glove from this set and other glove from different

just checked it out myself. That is definitely Perfect World International, not Neverwinter.

My Girlfriend desperately wants one of those Lolita dresses for her Control wizard. I would definitely shell out some Zen to get that for her. =P
