Why is it that I'm usually the only Ten-Towner playing PvP during Black Ice Domination? Are people that hard up to just take one side and get the easy win? Doesn't anyone wanna fight for Scrimshaw tokens?
I prefer it. I usually go TT, unless I get an invite from my friends and they are AB at the time. If you go TT you will be outnumbered all the time but it makes it more challenging ^^
It's great going round the map with a decent team or even solo if you be careful, and hunt down the countless AB players. The battles are also great when your TT even if you lose. I remember one game where me and 2 other TT guys was holding node 2, and endless waves of AB piled up and we killed them all lol, 3 of us must have killed about 20 or more players defending that node, we lost it in the end but it was fun.
And the best part about being TT and losing ? It's when the motherload is on, you can get a good team and attack it for a final fight or get a group and wait until it's over, then when AB all splits up you hunt them all down lol, that's so fun!!!
man, I can only HOPE for that, cuz 90% of the time, whenever Black Ice Dom comes up, it's always me vs 8 or 9 ABs on a point, and when I send out a Zone chat request for TT parties, I get zero replies. So frustrating.
TT foe life! I am bitterly disappointed when I have to run around with the ABs. Sucks in OPVP though because we are always outnumbered.
As for OPVP in general, what puts me off is the Cockatrice. Utterly negates skill. On Saturday night I had an awesome time though. Got together with an HR (I'm a GF) and we had two weakish GWFs tagging along and me managed to hold our own against a team of 2 CWs, and HR and a GWF who also had a nasty habit of dragging AB NPCs into the fight. Our GWFs were meat shields and died often, but their deaths bought myself and the HR time. The CWs were originally hiding up on one of the Black Ice spires, but myself and the HR managed to get up there. It was great fun Bull Charging one of the CWs off of his perch, Lunging Striking him in mid air and then Anvil of Booming him when we hit the ground. He tried to run away but I ran him down. He'd sniped me about 3 times from up there, so when I finally got my hands on him. . .there was blood.
PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.
