Ok this may seem a little newbie but is there an updated build for the sw fury with best armor, sets, stones, companions, and preferred mount bonus? Also does anyone know if you get the bonuses from stable mounts. Tyi!
I saw that thread but that's back in September. There is new gear and artifacts and maybe slight companion differences. I guess what I really need to know is what artifacts are the best as of right now for the fury build. I have several waiting in my bank but if I don't need them, then they will be sold. Don't want to invest in something that is not gonna be good at this point. Thanks for the response though.
For the MF/KF interaction stuff, does the number of points in murderous flames matter? I'm an xbox player so testing this would be tricky, but it would be interesting to see how if the huge damage is effected by the number of points in MF.
I know players that run 3 points vs 4 points in MF. The interaction is the same. I just did another respec and going to try the 3 points myself since it has shorter cooldown than 4 point for whatever reason.
I'm interested if a single point in MF could still cause the odd interaction. If it does, you could use the other 14 points to get dark revelry which could be really nice.
Just on paper - no tests: MF with 1/5 still should cause some weird stuff (like exceeding KF damage or doing more damage than on tooltip - like 30% vs. 56.5% on 5/5). But overall if you wish to benefit from it most, MF should be maxed.
About KF 3/4 (as it was mentioned here too) cooldown is lower, but damage also is lowered. So considering 10% damage boost + MF interaction, I rather wait 2 more seconds for extra couple of milions
Dunno about dark revelry - I'm currently testing MF+DR combo (dropped off brutal curse and infernal wrath) and it seems way to bugged - with 29k base power, without bonding/brutal/rising rings I get barely to 32k which is ~12% in power increase I believe it might be due to SH power boon
@ftryda unfortunately no. Doing math, it's not worth going into dark revelry - it's not working as intended, not working with all other power buffs Unless you wanna play temptation or 'warlock without buggy MF' it's pointless for me
@fernuu i recently finally tried brutal curse and pure fury and found the opposite results as you have. I always previously used Dark Revelry and solo on dummies I could spike my power significantly higher, close enough to the 20% for me to feel I just wasn't catching the peaks. Of course i always need to be clear I am on xbox so not easy to capture. With pure fury I peak around 38.5k, but with DR it's around 45k.
Which power buffs are you finding it does not work with?
I haven't tested it for sure but I believe it doesn't work with guild power boon.
(no companion/bonding):
29.000 base power * 1,2 = 34.800 19.000 base power * 1,2 = 22.800 + 10.000 (guild) = 32.800
It's nearly only half of buff we should get in solo mode - not sure how it works with other toons buffing our power (dc/cw/op) as I haven't tested it at all. But I believe it will work in same way as with guild boon, so buff will apply only to our base power (that might be the reason why SW can't reproduce 'power bug' like DC in Tiamat run did - Revelry also doesn't stack).
And as far as I remember it was result I had.
Also, testing fury on dummies isn't unfortunately reliable: 1. Once dummy has 0 HP most of our DoTs isn't applying (Soul Scorch curse consume effect, Creeping Death stacks). Same with Murderous Flames - sometimes it doesn't hit when dummy has 0 HP. 2. You can't trigger Helltouched as dummy can't attack you.
Just noticed you two were testing Warlock buffs and Murderous Flames.
TT + Hadar's Grasp crit + Lostmauth set prior to using Soul Scorch or Killing Flames results in a unique interaction that causes Hadar's Grasp to apply lesser curses (even without All Consuming Curse) when spec'd into the Fury tree. This unique combination has resulted in a self buff damage multiplier of ~60-65%. I can reproduce on XBONE, but not sure if it holds true on PC after the LM fix.
A Hadar's Grasp crit + LM set with Warlock's Curse applied will result in a ~30-35% self buff damage multiplier.
All good. I'm getting the "1 shot" on demand. What I have have come up with. 1) you do not need TT to be active to get it. 2) wheel of elements isn't needed but gives bigger hit. 3) biggest way I've gotten the hit to work is to have something else proc. So I start with HG, then hit essence defiler until I see the numbers start climbing. Once I see my gf hit itf, I rock killing flames. Seems to work 80% of the time. I am maxed in all ways so I am literally one shotting most bosses. Even dragon flight dragons I'm able to drop 60+% in one hit.
I feel having the proc of powers before attempting to unleash kf is the key to it. Obviously need our gf side companion lol
A little spoiler for what will be uploaded tomorrow - 61.294.672 Murderous Flames done in 4:33 eToS speedrun with one buffer (CW MoF Rene) dead done in 5-man party Buffs/debuffs are out of control nowadays
I've played SW for about 2 years (refuse to play another class), yet I still struggle to understand the mechanics.
I have read this thread about 5 times and some things are making sense, but others not...
What is more important to focus on? Power or Crit and is there a page that shows you which are capped at what amount? Is there a point focusing on Defence etc?
I enjoy PVP quite a bit and have had some great victories and a lot of momentous losses, but how different are the feats (to be effective) for PVP vs PVE? What I mean is, if your feat selection is great for PVE, will it be just as good for PVP?
I am only 2.5k HB Fury, although have decided to respec to SB Fury as even a campfire has the possibility to melt me....squishy as hell...
And yes....I'm one of those guys who's been grinding for 2 years and still don't have legendary items or any enchantments higher than lvl 8.....I'll get there though....

Temptation is by far the tankiest in pvp. Fury is burst and to effectively use fury burst in pvp you'll need higher enchants. Theres pleantly of fourms with build and guides that are explained effectively.
Thanks, having a look at what Misery did with their pvp build. I retrained SB Fury and it improved my PVE game quite a bit (thx to this thread), but it seems I did much better in PVP as HB Fury.....kind of answered my own question......doesn't look like you can have the best of both worlds, unless you BIS at mythical....
I'm coming back to game after several months off and I was wondering if someone could give me some tips regarding the equipment. I have the elemental elven gear and I wonder whats the go-to equipment now - should I slowly switch them out for dusk gear now? I also have purple Elemental Fire weapons, I reckon I should aim for twisted gear? I'm a rather casual gamer so it's gonna take me some time (I need to get underdark/maze engine boons) but any pointers would be appreciated.

On T2 dungeons I'm getting it almost 50% of tries but on SH dragons I'm unable to reproduce it except for two times, one with a 128M hit and one with about 20M.
Yeah stronghold dragons seem to be harder to get it on. I was able to get it 3 times out of 5 dragons runs last night. One hit took 65% of the dragons health, straight to death. Huge hit. Dungeons been kind of hit or miss. I typically run with a gf who uses augment pet and I can get it off about 60% of the time lately. Now my other gf uses bondings on a portal hound, 3800 ilvl gf and I get it closet to 80% and almost on demand. So maybe higher buffs? Hell, I don't know lol. I keep tinkering around with powers and procs like I mentioned before to get the best outcome. So far Essence defiler proccing seems to lead into the big kf hit the best.

Dark Revelry may apply only to the itemized portions "Items" and "Feats" of your overall Power stat. The "Buffs" do not apply.
