Fresh, 0 exp GWF looking for some PvP build advice

Hello everyone. So I've decided to give GWF a try, after deleting one a few months back. I mainly want to be focused on PvP. The fact that sprint now gives damage immunity is very appealing to me, and I like the overall CC immunity that all GWFs have. However I have seen A LOT of speculation, a lot of advice on a lot of diferent stuff. I plan on making him Dragonborn when I get enough zen. For now, I am starting human.

So, I want a PvP orriented build that is viable in PvE, the more the better, but PvP is mainly. I went for main constitution>str>dex. Any advice you can give is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Everything depends on your play style. First I want to point to two resources which will help decide your build, although both are a bit out -dated in gears, it will give some ideas. Since your focus is on PvP first read the following two sources:

IV Sentinel Route

I think IV is the better route because of

1. Threatening Rush (easy to mark your target and chase or rush an attack)
2. Front Line Surge > Flourish (because Flourish's animation is slow and FLS covers quite a distance)

The above two guides point to the two paths, my personal preference is the Sentinel. It's tanky and hard to kill. Your primary focus, if you go the above two route is CON and DEX! Your class preference should be Halfling. It's much better than Human.

Stats at Level 60 as Halfling (your goal may vary):

19 STR 24 CON 21 DEX

HP : 42 - 48k
Regen : 1000 - 1400
Crit Rate: 24 - 29
Deflection Rate: 34 - 39%
Armour Pen. All offense slot in your gear should be armor pen
Defense: Varies, depending on your gear, but note that HR and CW have little effect on them.

I would highly suggest going through both the link above to get some ideas, both focus on CON > DEX > STR. The gears are out of date in the links are a bit out-of-date but it will give some decent idea and direction. Good luck!
