At some point, please merge the two player bases so we can change our play between the two systems. I am pretty sure the xbox version will get a low turnout and you will lose your player base because of it.
Neverwinter is comming to xbox and no one on PC will want to play with them because the xbox controller is inferior to the keyboard for this or any kind of game that isn't a fighting or racing game.
Ofcourse not, this has nothing to do with the game itself but everything with the xbox-ones infrastructure. xbox one doesn't do keyboard and mouse.
From what I've read on the Final Fantasy 14 forums microsoft has an ironclad rule about thou shall not make things cross platform and share a server. According to their dev's it is not allowed no matter what. So pwe will never merge the servers.

Although, given the shower of HAMSTER that is XBone marketing and message coherence, the complete opposite has also been teased:
i will be interested to see how many issues the xbox version has, seeing how, we currently have constant bug, lag, issues,, an seems like it takes a very long time to fix issues,, an now they are venturing into xbox, hmmm , as xbox users wont put up with a game that doesnt work, an fixes take far to long to be addressed,, its a constant currently, that things are not working??? sooooo??? why is that , yet venturing into a new realm such as xbox,, far less tolerant of such things, best of luck, but just dont see how this game who cant even stop gold sellars is ever gona thrive in the xbox world, something that should have been stopped long ago, as bots are how its being done,, you actually think micro is gona put up with a game full of bots,, not!!!
I think you're misunderstanding how things work here, first off, if you play an MMO that DOESN'T have goldspam, run far, run fast, it's a ghost-town. You can't "get rid" of gold spammers without range-banning a whole bunch of countries that should be allowed to play. Second off, when games like this port to console they focus completely on getting stuff working, they just lay out a schedule for the modules that already exist and put them out roughly at the same rate we got them. People on Xbox aren't very tolerant, yes, but they also don't have any "MMOs" on the console yet, either (no, diablo 3 doesn't count).
It's gonna be hit-or-miss with this move but I think it's at least worth attempting, profits wise.
It's also going to help that the consoles won't be getting the newest updates. They will be running several modules behind. So when they launch they will mostly likely be on mod 1, while we are on mod 5 or later. That gives Cryptic a long time to smooth out issues for the console crowd.

Please, please, please show me how console users will "rank up" an artifact to legendary with the current non-friendly interface.
So it was released in China as a bundle with X1 in 2014, it's now 2015 where is it for the USA? Is there a release date?
None announced as of yet. Rest assured that if/when a release date is announced for the States and/or the European territories, it will be announced here.

You don't seem to understand. This is D3 all over again. The console version >>>>> PC version. That includes drops as well.
This is good news for some and bad news for the people who still have high hopes for this (PC)game.
Expect to see a decrease in AD from leadership around beginning of next year and more BoP. I really hope I am wrong

However, this tweet may be of interest on this subject. Indeed.

Well, one advantage of a console port is they only have to optimize for 1 hardware configuration, so there's that.
IMO, if the game does take off on the XBONE, that only means more revenue for them to devote toward improving NW even further, so I'll remain cautiously optimistic.

HOOAH WELCOME XBOX users to the bug world of never fix anything! have fun! Also look for the doctor to prescribe meds as you are not normal perfect world is the bugs are not real
Lets look at it this way, if they release it with the same amount of content as there is now. We wouldn't have the farmable CN days, would have useless professions in (weaponsmith/artificing), have had the botted supply that gave cheap rp. We wouldn't have had the cheap coal wards that probably still contributes to the low prices of weapon enchants. Leadership is going to be a pita unless they somehow make a big improvement to it. On the plus side, people may get more of a challenge early on until a lot of people have geared up.
There's also only 1 configuration, however with the way they've handled such issues here I'm not going to hold out much hopes. Plus I'm unsure the console market will be as willing to spend what the zen store asks for.
Shirts and pants are going to be expensive as @#!+ too. A good investment would probably be to buy zen (which would be supporting all of the flaws) convert to ad, buy tools from the ah and then craft them.
A lot of people acknowledge the game has been in decline in quality, so unless there's a big change, then those glory days aren't going to be as glory as they were over here. Farming wise anyway.

Starting on a fresh server will be far easier for new and old players a-like than it is now starting on a server that's been around since launch.
Hey everyone, not a new PWE account, but I am new to these forums and Neverwinter entirely. The announcement of the Xbox One version drove me to check it out more. I'm downloading the PC version now.
Great news in my opinion, a true MMORPG coming to consoles. There is FFXIV and DCUO (PS4, not XB1), but both of them have problems in my opinion. DCUO's setting is horrible and the gameplay is just clunky... FFXIV is too "hardcore", anything above level 30 essentially requires a party to do.
Nice meeting ya'll. Also, I found some info/videos/screens of the already-released Chinese version, which includes the UI/controls/Menu/etc. Once I'm able to make a new thread, I'll make on in the General Discussion about it, hoping some of you might help me figure out what's what.

This thread was allowed to be temporarily resurrected while we awaited for the hinted at announcement on twitter. That announcement has now arrived so this thread's purpose is done.
I also moved all posts after the new thread's post date to that thread to keep the discussions open.

The only thing that one can know for sure about XBone is that random u-turns are always a possibility

UniqueDragon, is that you?
This looks promising! 'X-citing' indeed. Thanks for the info. Hope the release is soon, we need a solid MMO on Xbox One!
