looking for a decent MoF Oppressor build

so, as a renegade spellstorm, I read the mod 4 patch notes in preview, and thought best get back to the drawing board....so had a little play on preview server, realising I hit like a feather duster. (i'm looking at you sudden storm!)

so respecced, and took Master of flame paragon path, and clumsily selected a bunch of feats knowing little about them. Went into dread ring, and just went mobbing, using chilling cloud and ray of frost as at wills, then fan the flame on tab, with chill strike, steal time, and icy terrain. dailies were singu, and the paragon flame burst thingy I can't remember the name of lol.

I was pleasantly surprised at how fast things were dying, it was pretty much like playing my spellstorm renegade as is now, and WOW Steal time hits like a train!! Health bars were going down nicely, and the capstone feat in oppressor meant if mobs weren't dead, they were frozen!

So Tl;dr, I have seen potential in a master of flame / oppressor build, and would like a little finesse to the build....google has not been kind to me...any tips would be much appreciated

I play MoF too,

BUT... what really happened here was that most of the MoF Players I've seen here absolutely sucked at it, and needed the rules completely re-written in order to play.

Must have begged Cryptic to Nerf our counterpart Spellstorms into uselessness for their own selfishness, and failure. Of which I do not and never will approve of. You won't even need to go Oppressor as an MoF to make this thing powerful. That's the real secret.

But I am **** tired of cryptic ruining everyone else's fun over selfishness and jealousy. Or shoving people into a path that is unwanted and unwelcome.

Unless these nerfs are significantly rolled back... I will be walking away from the game. I want nothing to do with this. I am not so petty as to demand others be made weaker just so I can have my way. That is just living a lie... it means you weren't good enough... and I will not do that.

I could tell you how to do a lot of damage as an MoF, I've been wiping geared Spellstorms in the Kessel Skirmish now on Live for some time and that's in the AoE parts of it, not even the single target stuff. We never needed any help nor did we need to crush Spellstorms abillities and playstyles to achieve this. The change to Eye of the Storm with the 25 second CD, was all that was ever needed to balance the two.

The rest of this stuff was just breaking them. I want nothing to do with that.

If Cryptic is truly this short sighted...

Then I will refuse to associate myself with them and walk away from this game entirely. Its not worth my time to associate myself with something like that.

Erm...do you want a build with the current preview patch, or one on Live? Your post is sort of vague. Honestly, I'd recommend saving all the ">:O What spec/feats do I take?" until the patch goes live, instead of trying to do anything with it now. For all we know, it could (and hopefully will) change quite a bit.

I'll probably follow you with a respec, but I'll hold off till mod4, we may get a freebie. I did the same with my HR after stormwarden got nerfed. May as well let your spellstorm CW have a swansong.
