Having several issues, getting error when I try to connect to techsupport

Gday all. I started playing NWO again a few days ago, and I love it a lot more then when I played it the first time. However, I am having lag spikes very, very often, today it was completely unplayable. On average the lag is ok, but I wont be able to play endgame PvP and PvE unless I find a way to fix it.

I ran tracert, as instructed in one of your posts, and it gave me good results. No ping was over 180ms, the highest I had was 156. Most were below 100.

I tried downloading CrypticNetTest.exe from the link you provided, but it failed several times, chrome gives me the error "network error"

I tried changing proxies, atm I am set to US patching and EU playing, but today I just couldn't play at all, I was at neverdeath graveyard area, and the patching is a different problem altogether.

Every time I try to enter an area I haven't been in already, it starts patching. The problem is that the patcher freezes after 15-20 secs of patching, so I have to restart the game several times for it to patch. The patcher also stands at 0b/ps quite often, and soon after that the little circle in top left freezes and totaly shuts down. It also gives me the error of "server not responding" as soon as I start patching, but I suppose that is normal.

My ISP is Jotel d.o.o , from Serbia, EU

Any help will be greatly appreciated, I am totaly loving this game but I will have to let it go if I Can't fix my connection.

Looks like once your traffic gets out of Brazil and starts having to travel along transatlantic cables to the USA (Miami, FL to be exact), the trace starts getting really laggy. I've highlighted in red where that starts. The asterisks mean that some of the packets that the trace sent didn't make it to their destination within a certain amount of time.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what can be done to make this clear up any on the user end, and it's not an issue originating with Cryptic, either.

Out of curiosity, though....there are hops on your route with a 10.x.x.x IP address--this is usually (but not always, some routers use this as well) a private IP range reserved for large LANs. Are you connecting from a business or university?

    Trace complete.

the results are a bit different, but I noticed the spike in the last few nods, it was also quite higher then the rest today afternoon, but not this high.

As for the support forum, it managed to load now, but it loaded in black/white, like it was missing the template (CSS), I am going to try again tomorow.

Anyway, can you tell me if this problem will be solved or being solved?(i know that is not a cryptic problem, but its affecting neverwinter players) or is just the end,for me? (of playing neverwinter)

Most all connection issues lately point to Verizon*, not the game. All you can do is complain to your ISP about being throttled by Verizon or contact your Government Leaders while looking into the "Net Neutrality" movement. Switching ISP probably won't help, as from your location, you'd probably still be hopped through Cogentco, who allegedly gets throttled by Verizon. The only way to resolve it "now" is to move so close to the game servers that you won't have a chance of being hopped through Cogentco's network that allegedly gets throttled by Verizon and in turn Verizon allegedly forces ISPs pay them more money to not do this to them. This is why there is a lot of polictical and legal debates around the World, loosely termed as the "Net Neutrality" movement to try and put a stop to these ISPs from controlling the Internet in such a malicious way.

*Do note, we often lay blame on Cogentco when the alleged culprit is Verizon as Cogentco is a Bandwith Distributor that is allegedly being forced to either pay loads of money to Verizon and if they don't, Verizon allegedly throttles users on their networks. Keep informed and read up on "Net Neutrality."

I can't say for certain. It's aggravating, to be sure, because again, the problem appears to be at a specific point in the route. It looks like a peering (the transfer of data between different ISP networks) issue that maybe--I stress maybe--your ISP can assist with the matter by contacting the company responsible for providing that service for them.

Hmm...yours is also running into a really troublesome Cogent hop, and what I suggested for him is about all that can be done as that relay is out of Cryptic's control. As for the nettest issue, unfortunately, I'm not aware of anywhere else where it can be obtained.

Can't make any guarantees though that another ISP wouldn't have to use Cogent's backbone relays, though. Cogent is pretty damned big in the Northern Hemisphere.

If you try to connect from Brazil, you are very likely to route through the same Transatlantic (Non Cogent) Lines until you hit the US coast, and then end up with Cogent on the US East Coast. And if I remember their Network correctly, from their map, they also run the backbones down to Mexico City, so you risk getting routed around there if you go via 'Overland' line.
