I have a question about the threshold of damage / healing required to become eligible for the epic gear drops... if there are say 15 players taking part and the encounter is won before the time runs out, will most people have reached the threshold... and conversely, if there are say 50 players taking part, and the encounter is won within a few minutes, will anyone be likely reach the threshold... I guess what i'm really asking is, is the threshold based on the percentage of damage / healing done, compared to the rest of the participants, or is it a fixed number, regardless of the number of players taking part...or to put it another way, "does size matter"... would appreciate it if one of the devs could answer, or someone who is actually sure of the facts could provide some info... thank you...
During preview I ask pretty much the same thing...they are not going to tell you the specifics. There was never enough of us on preview to test the true reward system. It was heavy on CW and HRs and hardly more then 6 people for any HE.
See some of my post for the educated conclusions based on what they did tell us, what we saw on preview and what we have seen on live.
It is new that they have used the term threshold in reference to HEs, it is was how I had been explaining it on the forums and in game to make it easier to understand the mechanics of the reward system, but used numbers I totally pulled out of you know what to explain it.
thanks for the reply... and just an obtw... I've gotten the main hand drop, so I know i'm capable of reaching the threshold... i'm just not sure how I did it...
