Does anyone know how much the original buff from Aspect of the Serpent (before purchasing the lvl 2 and 3, each of which give +1%) ? It's easy to assume it's also 1%, so that at level 3 it would be +3% per stack. But can anyone confirm that? I mean, most other powers and class characteristics are not exactly equal at the original lelve and level 2 and 3.
each stack gives you +1% dmg at rank 1, and +3% dmg when at rank 3. This may not seem like much; however remember the buff stacks up to 5 times, this means that if you got yourself 5 stacks for your ranged attacks, you will do +15% dmg on the first attack, +12% dmg on the next, +9%dmg on the third and so on...
If this is really how it works (I believe it is) this means the power is best used when stacking the most amounts of buffs, great for hybrid builds. and ideal when doing 10 ranged attacks, then 10 melee attacks
Mix that with bloodthirsty (After activating a ranged Encounter power, your neхt melee Encounter power will deal an additional 3/6/9/12/15% damage.) and agile combatant (After switching Stances, deal 1/2/3% more damage for 5 seconds)
I think youre missing the melee buff too, for simply ranged or simply melee yes, the thing doesnt have that much use. An aimed shot at +15% would definetly be something, yet it requires timing and opportunity (hell, putting off an aimed shot by itself is)

So it's up to you if you think 15% better range attacks is good enough for a trait slot.
