I have a question, I am a level 60 character with some decent gear (score over 11'000) and with multiple boons etc. But i have always avoided doing the 5 man dungeons (I've done skirmishes). If I wanted to do one from the pve queue which ones are the easiest for me to get my feet wet on? What should I start on? Any tips on what I need to bring if anything? If your party gets wiped on the boss do you have to start again on the boss or can you easily respawn?
I know some list gear scores and some don't have any gear scores listed, so I would assume they are pretty easy but descriptions don't always tell the whole story.
I did not want to jump blindly into something I am not prepared for and end up costing the team the mission. I've played 5 man content in other games were its pretty easy and then the boss is a nightmare if you dont know what you are doing.
Try the cloak tower and cragmire crypts , both of them are easy enough to run but can be a little challenging for a new player , after that they get more difficult , lair of the mad dragon can be hellish for a pug of new players for instance.

T1 in order of difficulty from easiest to hardest:
Cloak Tower
Cragmire Crypts
Throne of Idris
Greywolf Den (Final boss harder than easier T2)
Lair of the Mad Dragon (Final boss harder than easier T2)
T2 in order of difficulty from easiest to hardest:
Pirate King Lair (Easier than harder T1)
Frozen Heart (Easier than harder T1)
Karrundax Cavern (First boss can be discouraging, but the rest is easier than harder T1)
Spellplague Cavern
Temple of the Spider
Dread Vault
So, my advice for progression would be:
Cloak Tower -> Cragmire Crypts -> Throne of Idris -> Pirate King Lair -> Frozen Heart -> Karrundax Cavern -> Spellplague Cavern -> Temple of the Spider (most likely you're not gonna pug this, but if by that point you've become well prepared and you are lucky with the rest of your team-mates, you can do it)
Don't bother with Epic Dread Vault, really. :P
Edit: I've read you have 11k gear score already. Cloak Tower and Cragmire Crypts will feel like a walk in the park then. Start from Throne of Idris just to get the feel and then jump right into T2s.
Sometimes your teammates will ask you to use certain abilities and fight certain things. This is normal. You'll figure out quickly if they're right or not.
Find out early if your group is doing a "Greed run", in which everyone roles greed for class-specific epic drops. Usually everyone rolls Need for Jewelry and Enchantment drops. Find out the group's rules. Rolling Need on a class-specific drop can earn you kick, especially in T2 dungeons.
As long as you do your job and help the team, you'll be fine. Sometimes you'll just miss an ability or drop dead from one hit. It's normal.

For the social challenges part of dungeoning:
