To sum up, going defensive build isn't mean that you cant heal very well, you do single healing lesser, but your healing duration and frequency is higher than the other pve cleric. Look in the positive way and rebuild your cleric will do, and don't underestimate HW healing in pvp, that is 40% or more of my healing output in pvp.

I feel halfling tanks healing although not as superior as the other 26 wis pve faithful cleric, we still can heal or even outheal the others in pvp. From my experience of playing 8 clerics where 6 of them is low to mid tier pvp clerics, most of the time we will suffer from overhealing, which means at least 25% of our heals is wasted (Astral Shield with no one damaged inside etc). Halfling pvp clerics can heal for a longer time as we won't be killed so fast, and can guarantee our allies to survive well when we are still alive. Since our single healing spell heal lesser, why not we increase our healing frequency and healing duration? For example, you have 25% higher healing than me but are more squishy than me, you cast a spell to heal 1250 hp and die immediately afterwards; I heal for 1000 hp only per cast but i am not dead after i heal, i can heal you again before i am dead, so that is 2000 hp output, you also absorb more damage for your allies in the meantime. In addition, MH set passively boost your healing output when you have high hp stat, while profounds boost your divine generation so you can spam more Divine HW (higher healing frequency).

You will lose 20% healing lore (talented), 10% or more from wisdom. Then you'll have less power, less recovery and less crit going full defensive. And you will be DP starving if you'll use healing spell if you don't slot divine fortune. With healing depression you will just spam tiny heals that actually won't keep anyone alive. Not with the kind of damage some class can dish out nowadays. And that's exactly what I am pointing out: even going full healing doesn't cut it. It shouldn't be like that. A full faithfull dc, specced for healing, should be able to keep everybody alive at least till he have divinity.
Belive me, I get your point. But our heals are already laughable when we go full healer. Should I gimp them even more? And I want my heals to be felt, not just some tiny green number on screen, while I run around trying to survive enemy train in a game where every class have CC powers, while we don't have any kind of immunity.
And I understand the whole idea dead DC = no more heals. But you forget that in this game, in pvp DPS >>> HPS

Requiem, or whoever, can be a god in this game, but he can't change math. Let's say he have 30k HP, in 10 second would be 3000 HPS. With healing depression on? If he is full healer, he will have 200/300 from AS per tick (now less on us after rightousness rework), 1000 from FF (now less on us after rightousness rework) per second, 300 from HW per second and soothing light. But as you see, he would have more divinity than us And even so he could not have done it. And don't forget a tr beating on him. Let's just say this tr is a shame among tr.

I just look at comparison between people in the same class, Its already easily predicted that hr/tr/and gwf will do better on the boards before it even came out. With gf/cw here and there and dc, well they have a separate function pretty much, so you can;t really compare them with the killing classes on the leaderboard. At least the kill stat is pointless for a dc.
Cw in general is a class i wont expect to see top in kills, as they are mostly support types now.
Their are quite alot of variables in this, that can't accurately be portrayed in the leaderboard. I just take it as something interesting to see and leave it at that.
Even as a support class I have noticed a new issue arising from PVP, the mentality of "my" kill. I have swooped in with an oppressive force and the next thing I know chat is spammed with messages from teammates of "kill stealer" in poth open and private chats. If you try to help someone they now complain, team work is gone from pvp and the developers seem to have made such a rift with leader boards that "team play" is a non existant concept. People don't want you if you aren't pvp geared.
It is almost absurd, really starting to wish they would turn pvp in to player controlled gladiators and make pvp a seperate game mechanic. For example you "buy" a pvp gladiator to pit against other players either in team play (currently domination) or in most wins (leaderboard), but the pvp player is actually one class say gladiator with maybe 3 paths of fighting styles or skill/power selections to choose from. This will balance to being skill based and not gear based. Then make the rewards give out high ranking enchants and AD or unique items not found elsewhere.
For now I have to say my PVP enjoyment has gone down dramatically due to the lack of "team minded" play that is happening with the leader boards and what not and the fact that pvp gear is in the game.
I am sure the queue system has issues with this, but really wish we could see about adding GS grouping to the current model and not just ELO based on wins and losses. If find the best games are when pitted against people of simialr gear not the Rank 10 uber geared people I can't seem to hurt at all.
