I have two quests in the works, both "Game of thrones" and "Discworld" inspired and I am looking to play any other foundries along the same themes (if only to avoid doing the exact same stuff).
They can be either adapted from the books or just loosely-based on the same ideas.
Personally I'm not sure how well A Song of Ice and Fire (GoT) would translate to a game like this. So much of it is about the political intrigue. Still, isolated pockets of it could translate--like the ranging of the Night's Watch beyond the wall, The Battle of the Blackwater, The House of the Undying (especially in the book)...
Well, it all depends on how much you want to include. I've read the books but I'll be going with TV version (just because more people know it, compared to book readers). The PC will be a member of Stark household, first tasked with helping to make the Winterfell castle ready for kings's visit, then you'll follow Ned to King's Landing, etc. You'll be sort of a side-character from the show and just like ASOIAF characters, you can't be everywhere and you'll learn a lot about the world changes from stories told by others.
Either way, I am curious to see if anything similar has been done already.
EDIT: So I found "Song of thrones" and while it's an interesting concept (being different characters in each chapter) the quest itself needs a LOT of work.
