Regarding the new patch, please DEFINE "normative"

What precisely is meant by "normative behaviour" when you say, that normative behaviour should not be affected? Don't you think players should be given warnings before any action is taken? For example, your Turing Test to determine whether someone is botting with a program or is actually a human player that is physically there playing is completely off and uses very inaccurate criteria.

So, how should one determine if something is fraudulent? By means of an overly simplistic algorithm? Efficiency = Machine? Inefficiency = Human? What of humans that are more effective and efficient than programs? Humans did invent them to begin with.

This kind of design of algorithms is too naive and requires a deeper and more thorough analysis of behaviour, randomness, etc. A program could even be made to be "humanly random/inefficient". Our current technology has certain limitations in terms of recognition of certain things like dictation/etc. unless a sufficiently advanced setup and program is arranged. That is one of the many criteria that should be used.

Otherwise, you'll have humans being mistaken for programs, while macros are missed entirely (I saw one the other day and its algorithm was ridiculously simple, yet it was missed). I also suggest the collection of some previous behavioural patterns over a longer period of time to determine whether something is done by a human or otherwise.

Finally, if you will read it up, there is no such thing as a truly normal person, hence "normative behaviour" is a very vague term. How should eccentricities among humans be handled? What of the large population of ADHD, etc. players? I overheard some of them and they aren't that few. Isn't some flexibility necessary?

PWE will never formally announce internal methodology or tools for internal investigations against botting or exploits. normal behavior could simply be construed as playing the game as intended. if any in-game action is questionable or if you have to ask if it's allowed, then it's probably not a normal action and doing so is at your own discretion and consequences.

furthermore, this thread isn't going to fly as a productive discussion so it will be closed.
