The build stacks crit.
But is this still usefull in mod-3 or should i be focussing on power?
What amount of crit would you recommend?
You actually get a TON out of the Renegade build in Mod 3. On the Preview Nightmare Wizardry is going off a lot more. I do not know if they adjusted it. But its noticable to me. So, when you start a Steal Time generally you proc off both Nightmare and Phantasmal Destruction causing pretty extreme burst damage and being able to actually Utilize a renegade build much more frontally than previously.
There have been no announcements about Nightmare Wizardry so it could just be me, but this is the key to that Build is critting WHILE in Combat Advantage damage position. That is what sends a Renegade damage through the roof. The MoF have a +15% Crit severity, the Spellstorm has Eye of the Storm to crit more often.
The Renegade Spellstorm has both the +15% Crit Severity and the Eye of the Storm... BUT... MUST be doing combat advantage damage in order to get both.... hence Nightmare Wizardry increased procing increases the damage of this build markedly.
Normally with this kind of build you are moving around a great deal always trying to put yourself in Combat Advantage position in order to proc both of them to increase your chance of massive crits. And a Renegade Crit build takes a LOT more skill to pull off correctly than any Thaumaturge build because of this.
I daresay very very few players ever are able to take advantage of the Renegade build because of that, constant combat advantage is hard to achieve... But... from what I've seen on Test, this changes.
That would be very good news. I've been pulling my renegade CW since Open Beta, have much fun with it, and spamming orange numbers in PvE is addictive.
But.
I'm worried about PvP, which I enjoy a lot as well. Any thoughts on that?
Bids he then the spruces to singer him an anthems!
And the Woodsie Lord binders them fleshes to stone!
