Transmutation problem

Now that I've finally got the full Swashbuckling set for my TR, I wanted to try and transmute it to something a tad less hideous looking.
I never transmuted anything before, so please bear with my noobishness.
For some reason, the preview of my armour is messed up. It looks like a weird mix of both armours, rather than just the new one:

The previews on all the other items look perfectly fine, only that one's messed up.
Sooo, is that normal? I mean, is it just the preview that's bugged, or is it actually gonna look like that?
I'm a bit low on AD at the moment, so I'm not really in the mood to just try it, only to end up wasting 50k for something that looks even worse than before. :P

    Did you try equipping the Bloodscar's Armor on your character?

    If so, does it look like what is shown in the preview?

    Yes sometimes the preview window glitches and you get a weird hybrid of both armors , if you transmute the final thing will look like the bloodscar's armor.

    even after transmuting sometimes items will retain characteristics of both items.. but only until you take it off and put it back on. i don't know if it's lag or what. i've had that happen with all items, but most often weapons.

    some of them i wished i could keep the blended version.. my hr had an extremely unique and cool looking bow, until i re-equipped it. haha

    Maybe take screen shots and submit them in the fanart section or some sort. You never know if the art team will pick up on some of the art ideas or not :3.

    Meh, kinda sucks that it might keep glitching occasionally, but at least it's nothing permanent.

    It mostly seems to occur when the original item has either shoulder pads and/or apron while the new appearance item doesn't.
