Is there any point to Crit

I am a Conq GF and with the double power feat, I was wondering is there any point to building up Crit. Our crit percentages are so low, I just don't see the point. Sure the burst is good for pvp, but my main focus is pve.

I haven't done any calculations so is there anyone out there that has recently?

I read somewhere crit good up to 1650, but is it really?

    From my own experiences, it is good to have anywhere up to 2k. 20% chance to crit is useful, no matter who you are. I'm statted 2,583 crit, it yields 23.8% chance. It hits often enough to make a difference. It's a bit more than I need, granted.. but all my other stats are pretty good, so it gets me by.

    (I don't PvP at all.)

    I have 1750 crit, nets me ~21% crit. I see no point in going beyond 2k. I'm actually thinking of losing some crit and slotting for more arpen.

    If you run Timeless Hero you can actually get away with dropping down to 1200/1300 crit as I find it is very easy to proc the Timless' crit set bonus often.
    PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.

    Or keep the crit AND get the set bonus. Crit has a much higher softcap than most other stats, the crit bonus from TH won't be wasted.

    What I would like to clear up is, is it not more effective to stick all points in power and maybe some in recovery (for better CC and AP generation) after reaching Arm pen cap.

    I have 2k crit, which gives me about 22%. One time, i got my stone to stack twice, which gave me 3k crit. It was only 25.1% chance. +3% for 1k of any stat isn't worth it.

    GF has a very low crit DR so stacking over 2k is a bigggg waste of stats. If you're using timeless hero's you're better off stacking other things.
