Where's Elminster?

OK so its 200 years after the Spellplague and death of Mystra? What happened to Elminster? He was Mystra's chosen. I hadn;t kept up with the story after Mystra rescued him from the 9 hells when the devil (Nergal?) took him. I have to say it's a shame she is dead, i rather liked her verses the other gods.

Last I knew, his tower in Shadowdale is in ruins and he's nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he could pop up after the Sundering.

He has been in a lot of places.

He want mad. He then turned to ash. Then one of his relatives ate him and he possessed her body.

Obviously very much dumbed down but that is the really abridged version.

However I think the better question is, where will he be in a few months? Sundering Book VI

Id much rather have Elminster in game then that silly emo dark elf ranger.

However, it looks like Jarlaxle is going to be the first to make a cameo.

Obtain them through a new daily quest, Vault of the Nine. Qualify by having at least two level 60 characters talk to Jarlaxle in Caer-Konig, the main town in Icewind Dale.
