Vampire Hunting quests wanted.

I play a vampire hunter, and I know a few others that do as well.
Looking through the quest database here and ingame. I see a pretty good lack of vampire themed foundry missions.

So I simply request to make more.

I started on making one myself. But its a slow process if I'm the only one doing it.
I find it would be different than the standard kind of quests I see within the foundry.

If you haven't played it yet, Ravenloft is centered around gothic horror and eventually you will take on the biggest baddest vampire in D&D history, Strahd Von Zarovich. Although, Strahd only makes a few appearances here and there it will pit players against all of the things that go bump in the night. and follow in the foot steps of the original monster hunter which spurred Vanhelsing, 2 chapters are complete and I am diligently working on the 3rd.

    Try Blutsauger Cathedral [NW-DBCMMYX9M] @stevedestiny1

The Ravenloft quests are AWESOME by the way and inspired Blutsauger Cathedral.

There is also a ripoff of the Ravenloft one called Ravenloft Castle (I think) it's ok...I guess...plenty of vampires to kill...it is mostly hack and slash, nearly no story at all, and needs some deco work.

If there are a lack of vampire hunting quests...I will be glad to make more, but be aware that the work I do takes time. For a really great looking quest with decent storyline...about a week. The ones apocrs1980 make probably take a lot of time to complete as well since they are highly detailed and very rich in storyline.

    Thanks stevedestiny,

I'll have to check your quest out tonight, I'm always amazed at the creativity that everyone has when putting together their quests.
I will concur with your assessment, it takes a very long time to conceive, plan, and implement your ideas into MMO form...then tweak it so that it's not too vague causing frustration and yet not insulting the players intelligence by holding their hand through it. And then once it's released...it's almost never ending revision after revision as the players will find stuff you over look a 100 times over :)

So far, I have been working on CH3 now for at least 3 months just because I want to be sure that the story is still top notch, that it feels like a continuation of the previous 2, and honestly I have to work my normal job >.<

I say go for it, there needs to be more Gothic horror settings to rummage though.
I can only hope and pray that Ice Wind Dale expansion gives us a whole bunch of new wintery assets, maps, and different monsters to play around with.

Anyways back on topic... you may do a search for vampire and see what comes up?

You are most certainly welcome. You do good work. The best I have seen for all points. Story. Mood. Sets. All perfection.

Thanks for playing and reviewing Blutsauger Cathedral. It is an honor!

Excellent. I shall check those out. And appreciate more.

They dont all have to be long elaborate missions. As some missions would be easier, shorter and less engaging than others.

Given theres vampire lords and vampire thralls and other attacks from just lowly simple but ferocious vampires at times and things liek that.

Variety is nice. So some dont nessecarily need a grand epic scale of work.

I shall add those quests in my journal and get some people to come along with my character on the missions.

Also I did do a search for vampire. I do so quite regularly. Its how I found the ravenloft one before. (I even sent you a pm once, because in the second chapter inside the church couldnt see an option for my HR to continue the quest )Though some of these quests like the Blutsauger Cathedral dont even come up in the search when you type vampire.

Edit: Having played Blutsuger Cathedral through up to the point where they talk about the Mayor's daughter. I have to say this is a GREAT quest. I didnt to play further, waiting for more people to play through properly. Was more of a preview but this is precisely the kind of vampire hunting quest I was talking about.

The vampire lore and folktale books scattered aroudn the village and cathedral was a nice touch. I greatly look forward to this.

This is what I would call a mid level, normal mission for a vampire hunter. A standard. Excellent!

Child of the Night is another really good vampire-themed quest. It's in the Featured list.

I just started working on one, though no promises when it will be out. I have a lot of free time coming up though so hopefully soon.

    Update: 3/17/2014

The first map is almost done, I just need to add walls around it now.
The second map has all objectives and encounters set up, it just needs detailing.
There are only three maps and the third, while I have not worked on it yet, is just a duplicate of the second map I needed to do so I could have all fifty encounters to place for the end boss. Muahahaha! (Mostly for timers and such.)

    Update: 3/18/2014

First and second maps are done. Just need to make that boss fight now. Expect this to be out in a day or two.

    Teaser:

"Ronlek, the mayor of the village of Taurlen, has requested adventurers for a strange problem. Taurlen is known for its skilled warriors, so anything that troubles them is likely worth investigating."

What is the problem? Well, I already said I am working on a vampire based quest and am posting this in the vampire hunter thread so I guess that part is pretty obvious.

Here is the bigger question, why is the vampire quest going to be named "Night of the Plaugeflame"?
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.

Not as good as Ravenloft or Child of Night (Have not played Blutsauger Cathedral yet, so can't comment on that one.) but I just finished a short vampire based quest.

Name: Night of the Plagueflame (I'll let you guess why it's called that.)
    Shortcode: NW-DQF5FKEFX
Description: "Ronlek, the mayor of the village of Taurlen, has requested adventurers for a strange problem. Taurlen is known for its skilled warriors, so anything that troubles them is likely worth investigating."

One of my big focuses here is the boss. I'm trying to make sure the battle is challenging and climatic without slaughtering people either. I think I got it balanced but please let me know what you thought about it. (Along with any other feedback you have.)

This is set a couple months before The Arcane Conflict though the only real connection is one character that I brought in. That one character is on a pretty strict timeline though so I thought I should point this out for any Arcane Conflict fans playing this quest.

I don't really have a vampire-themed quest but there are vampires in my second quest.

If you have the time and don't mind, do take a look at:
