I thought I would post here to see what everyone else thinks about the Vanguard Scrip in DR. I have completed all my boons and now have a bunch of Scrip left over and add more to it daily running the dailies to level up companions.
I know in Sharandar the faction merchant sells potions for Fey Crescents which are the Sharandar equivalent of the Vanguard Scrip. So I decided to check the faction merchant in DR, Dell McCourt to see what he sells for Vanguard Scrip. Boy was I surprised when I saw he sells the exact same potions as the Sharandar Merchant and also wants to be paid in Fey Crescents.
I hope that at some point they will realize this is an error and at least make it so the potions can be bought with scrip in DR. Or they can add new potions for scrip. Clearly this is a minor issue but it is still a very annoying one. If the epics didn't cost more than they refine for (like 4-5times more) I would probably just burn through the Scrip buying epics and salvaging them.
Come on folks, if you want to have multiple currencies in game then make sure they work properly and there is something we can spend them for.

Yea...people have been complaining about this since...well, forever. It seems an obvious error, but it's one of those little issues that annoy players but the devs seem unable or unwilling to fix. Same goes for several of the achievements that have been unobtainable for over a year, despite many, many bug reports..
Yeah, I figure issues like this don't even register on their radar, not even during post-update months... Otherwise it would've been handled by now, at very least they could remove the merchant in the meantime.
It's most likely going to stay this way, so don't bother doing DR dailies aside from the lairs for Gmarks. (just turn in the onyx shards for the scrip you need and screw the quests).
Or at least make those @#^%$ things Account Bound so we can send them to our new Toons and get SOME use out of them.

The old mage ponders making an automaton out of all these failed necromantic experiments and is then reminded of his duty as the air cracks with thunder in a clear blue sky. "Aye, M'lord. She would not be pleased," he murmers to an unseen force and then waves his hand, sending the undead creature back to rest.
