gear stats advice

Hi my CW is level 56 so while I'm leveling I'm doing solo pve, dungeons and skirmishes with a build for crowd control and dps.

So far I have been concentrating on gear stats of power and crit, but I've read on a couple of threads that power isn't very good as it gives diminishing returns. Is this correct and should I be concentrating my gear stats on recovery and armour penetration instead, for better damage ?

    Power does not have diminishing returns.

    For PVE, start with recovery and armor penetration. Then focus on crit and defense, with some regen/life steal thrown in. Lastly focus on power.

    2200 Crit

    quickly grind a skull artefact b4 pvp nerf (leave if u arent going to win n slot glory utilities.

    buy a 3rd artefact.

    this way u will be able to see what stats are going to increase and u can calculate what to slot as supplement
