GWF: does 'Student of the Sword' stack with weapon enchant debuffs like PF?

Hey Guys,

does 'Student of the Sword' stack with weapon enchant debuffs like plague-fire?

if so, how does it work and what is the total defense reduction on say - maxed student of the sword and a greater plague-fire?

also, are there diminishing returns of defense debuffs?
how does it work with say an already high armor pen?

and lastly, would it be viable to max Student of the Sword and dump plague-fire for flat dmg increase enchants?

thanks.

    yes they stack.

SotS adds a 5% dmg buff per stack up to 15% dmg buff.
plague fire, greater version, adds 3% dmg buff per stack up to 9% dmg buff.

There are no diminishing returns or hard caps on debuffs. However if multiple people in the group have GPF they do not stack. 1 GPF, 1 Terror per group is ideal. After that everyone else should be using Vorpal. Only really comes into play if you have a standard group you run with.

There is no connection between debuffs and armor penetration.

the last question you must ask yourself, is up to 9% dmg buff for you and your party on up to 5 targets (the number of targets you can realistically maintain atleast some number of GPF stacks on) better than doing more damage yourself? you can plug in your own numbers but for example a greater vorpal adds 38% crit severity, so @ 50% crit rate and no other crit severity feats it adds 10.85% personal dmg.

what do you think is better for debuff (PVE only): plague or terror?
    and why?

PF helps you and your party, Terror helps just you.

PF (if not also used by another party member) may be able to increase all your parties DPS, while the Terror provides more DPS for you.

Hope that clarifies, and it's really up to you what to run... :)

    P. Terror adds a 4% dmg buff. It doesn't stack but the debuff lasts longer than GPF.

    Nice. good info.
I think i might run PF as default.
then, if i can afford it, have a secondary terror at hand if running with someone else who has PF.
