One thing that would REALLY help in the map editor would be the ability to create and store grouped assets as a "Smart object" like in photoshop.
Create a house from scratch? Great, now select all the components in the 2d viewer, click 'save asset', give it a name and version, and it becomes something you can reuse as a single object unit between maps.
First, it seems like it wouldn't be THAT hard to implement, there's already the notion of customizing costumes and saving them; which are models with set components and scalar/geometric values.
I just think it would be nice to work on an object model and then be able to move it, all at once.
Right now it's, "Custom house 1.5 feet off the ground on one side? Too bad for you you have to go through and individually select and adjust the Y value of every single component! HAHAHAHAHAH"
