I have a question regarding the active companion bonus like the Damaran Shepherd which give a bonus to the summoned companion. First off, when I put the Shepherd as active the buff icon by my name didn't update with the dog's active bonus. Should the buff icon update with active bonuses that apply to the summoned companions?
Next, if the Shepherd grants 2% crit chance and I have a buff companion (the cat in my case) summoned, would the cat get a 2% crit chance buff and therefore give me 2% crit chance? From the stats on my character sheet it doesn't look like that is the case. With the handful of active bonuses that apply to the summoned companion, I was hoping a buff companion would pass that along to my character.
Lastly, do you get the active bonus during PVP? I know you can't have your summoned companion, but I didn't check my stats in PVP to see if buffs were still applied.
Next, if the Shepherd grants 2% crit chance and I have a buff companion (the cat in my case) summoned, would the cat get a 2% crit chance buff and therefore give me 2% crit chance?
Now that's an interesting question! Anyone?

Active Bonuses affecting companions will only affect the companion and not carry over to you if that companion is an Augment.
if it did it would be kinda stupid, get a boar 50% crit severity, get ioun, perf vorpal, feats and as an hr you would have...185% crit severity,so if you hit smth with aimed for 12k normally it would deal 34.2k if it crits:P

I agree it would be crazy, but then again IMO combat companions are hardly useful so why would I want an active bonus to them. Personal preference.
