Some queries on CWs in Epic Dungs

Hi all,

I just hit 60 on my CW (my first lvl 60 character) and I would just like to ask some questions regarding how a CW should be played in Epic Dungs. I understand that a lot of the gameplay should be learnt through experiencing it yourself but I would just like to ask some basic questions which would really help to speed up this process and make it less exasperating on my teammates in-game.

Prior to 60, I have always found that in most dungeons, going really close up and doing damages, even during the boss fights, tends to be fine as in the early dungeon mobs tend to have really little HP and survival did not really matter that much.

My queries are mostly targetted at boss fights, especially after Karrundax. From playing my CW till lvl 60, I have found it important for me to round up mobs and do huge AoE rotations (mine being Shard, SS and Steal Time). However, especially after doing the Karrundax dungeon, I have found that after I control these mobs, I can never seem to deal enough damage to finish them off, leading me to draw huge aggro and dying really easily. I can only imagine that this would happen more often in epic dungeons. Is this natural or am I doing something wrong?

Also, having read some of the guides on the forum, I have found that most guides tend to create a AoE/Single-target encounter and at-wills list. I took this to mean AoE loadouts for the normal mobs and then Single-target loadouts in boss fights. However, upon trying some of the Single-target loadouts (Chill Strike, RoE, Ice Rays) in boss fights, I have found my damage to be especially lackluster in providing control and AoE damage. Am I misinterpreting where Single-target loadouts should be used?

Any other advice you could give to a fresh 60 CW would be very welcome as well. :D I am still incredibly interested in learning and evolving my own playstyle but some tips would definitely make this process a lot less painful for me and for others!

Start out by getting the PvP gear. Been rolling that for over a month now and it works just fine. Stack up on Enchants and use them. Best investions are Vorpal and Soulforged. Lesser will do at first. If you got all that, go on every T2 DD run you can. Look for me ingame: @hrodvalder, if I'm online I'll help you and can show you some things I do not wanna write since I'm usually lazy :D

As for Rotations just a real quick overview on what I normally pack.
For mobs: Steal Time, Shard, SS and CoI on Tab. The usual. Sometimes I switch on over to EF if I got another CW because we usually throw stuff all over the place XD

If a good GF or GWF take on the mobs in the Endboss and I can focus on, lets say, Himnir, I usually go with RoE, Icy Rays, Ray of Frost and Ice Knive. Really depends on the Dungeon.

Other than that, every boss is different and it realy depends on the group how much CC you need or if you burn through adds real fast.

Anyway, hit me up tomorrow, I'll be online from like 10:30- open End (I live in germany, do the math when this is where you live :D ) and I'll show you the ropes.
