Malabogs Castle quitters

So I've tried to complete Malabogs Castle for a month now. I have tried way more than 10 times. It still hasn't happened. I've been close, but no.
Not because the dungeon is too hard but because people quit all the time.

People don't seem to realize that a GS 9200 dungeon is not a walk in park. But it's bloody 9200 like Castle Never!!!! It is rated to be the hardest of all dungeons!! So what's up with quitting just because you die once or twice???

I have even managed to get a full party to the end boss and still ended up standing there all alone with the boss on 10 percent health. I mean come on people!!! What the heck is going on???

Here's my message: If you are not completely sure that you are up for a challenge, don't sign up for the highest rated dungeon. Simply don't.

Please people: Allow me to finish this dungeon just once! Just once!

People sign up are ready , then you get in a party with a DC who never bothers to lay down Astral shield or heal and my personal favorite Guardian fighters who don't bother taking the Totemists agro so the CW and TR end up running around in circles getting killed in 3 or 4 shots until the party wipes , when I get into a party with these type of players its all to easy to quit otherwise I'm basically wasting my time with people who obviously have no understanding of how their class works and at level 60 it shouldn't be my job to tell them what to do.

Join a guild, get to know some people who enjoy the game and have skill and don't try to pug the hardest dungeon in the game.

I can't remember any mmo off the top of my head which had end-game content which was easily puggable.

I have had a pretty good success rate running it with people from the legit channel.

Advertising for a 3/3 party in lfg usually works, especially around DD time. I don't solo queue for any T2 or T2.5, ever with the exceptions being Dwarf King or Pirate King, which I know I can drag a subpar party through if needed.

Dungeon quiters are everywhere in any dungeon not just MC. Whether because they are bad/inexperienced players or because the group is really bad, I had too many cases of quiters myself (or cases where I had to politely quit after several wipes).
That's why a good guild or a good permanent or semi-permanent premade is the way to go. If you're not up for that, you could try the NW_Legit_Community channel for a better chance of getting a descent group than the average PUG or LFG channel...

My one time there, it didn't look that bad if I'd had some better party members. GFs who can't or won't hold aggro and clerics who only heal occasionally don't make for a good run. Three times at Malabog. Three times the GF lost aggro and the boss comes straight at me (I wasn't attacking him either) after the the third time I made the long run back from the campfire, hoping I could get back in time, I got to watch one of the two rogues go down and the boss' health reset. Then I got ganked by redcaps and gave up.

There is an idea that MoC interrupting Valindra is a bug and it shouldn't work like that. Dunno is it's right tho :)

then how the f are we supposed to do it, run 5 tr and burst her down ? if that is bug then why they dont fix choke on gwf through unstoppable 1st

maybe cw interrupt is a bug, but slam says it interrupts casting

the best way to make sure you're in a good dungeon group is to know what everyone's expectations are prior to entering said dungeon. you can do that by noting you're looking for a 3/3 MC run or joining a guild that runs full MC runs. entering a dungeon with a blind pug can be more trouble than its worth especially if you have expectations to finish the entire dungeon. and specifically dungeons like MC and CN.

You keep IK as a CW especially for Val. When she comes down, if you're fast, you have time to debuff her first with RoE/CoI and throw an IK (all CWs should do that). If you're slow to her, than just IK.

I did this fight at least 5 times without GWF or MoC, but CWs have to be decent DPSers and fast movers, with battlefield awareness.

Things can still go wrong if/when she spawns near dragon (difficulty targeting her) or on the other corner of the battlefield casting a portal (which is somewhat faster than choking people IMO).

She can be burst down, but it is unlikely you will find a PUG that will be able to focus her fast enough to kill her before portal spawns or even hold deaths.

Have they fixed the logout bug for the last boss yet?

There are various reason for people to leave it.
It might be a kind I REPPELLZZZ!! mage or fail party setup in general. I leave the team when I see some "constructor" mage or rogue in my party. People are too obessed with the GS...

Join a guild and quit trying to pug the end game. Sitting there and complaining about a pug on the latest dungeon is ....mind explodes.

nwn endgame is quite pug-able the dungeons are so easy that you need only 2 or 3 ppl that know what to do, its solo content with a bunch of adds added in as an afterthought once they understood that they suck so much at designing fights for action mmorpgs that even a mentally challenged person could solo most of their endgame bosses, although mc is a step in the right direction its still the add(s) not the boss that present challenge
