Like it really matters, so far the way things work around here are dictated by the amount of blind whiners.
inb4 next week someone opens a thread asking why aren't we armor swapping, if the game allows it.
Probably true in general. However, I really do want to understand the rationale, thus the thread.
Armor swapping via scripting is clearly not an intended part of game design, so I understand that restriction.
Do you consider elixirs/caprese/feasts to not be an intended part of game design for pvp?

I'm guessing the point that Lord High Lemonade Stain founder is trying to make is that historically only PvP pots were supposed to be usuable in PvP. People found out that Rejuv Pots were bugged and began using them in PvP. Cryptic then fixed that bug and closed the window on that practice. I suppose you can take that to mean that the Devs didn't really intend for any other pots other than PvP specific pots to be usable in PvP, and the exilirs/feasts/etc are just an unintended oversight.

Are elixirs, feasts, and/or caprese intended to be usable in PVP or do you consider this a bug?

I don't think it's an issue that you really need to be that concerned about. It's not like anyone is getting banned for using these items in PvP. The only time it's really applicable is when a Guild is trying to set up a pre-mades tourney and they want to set some ground rules.

When I am setting up a pre-made match and a ground rules discussion comes up, I'd like to know why elixirs/caprese/feasts should be avoided. It's really a simple question, but sounds like most have taken it as rule w/o question.

Eh, I suspect your mileage is going to vary based on who you're asking. Kind of like Rainbow vs Variable Team Composition. I don't think any one answer is necessarily right or wrong.
And let's be serious for a second. If Lemonade Stand is considered the Moral Compass of PvP, then PvP has no moral compass.

Yea......bottom line, play the game and have fun, if potions make you happy use them, if you they HAMSTER you off form up games where neither side uses them. You can't control the world might as well stop trying!!
