Foundry Questions

So I'm going to just post a few quick questions, sorry if this isn't the right place. I've very eager to get going and publish some campaigns!! :D

version: NW.5.20130923b.9

1. When I start Foundry, I don't go to a character screen. I go to a Foundry start up menu to select my quests and campaigns. How do I change my testing character?

2. When I place an asset in the map and edit it, the small selection-node cube sometimes moves far away from my model. What's up here?

3. Why is my character constantly spawning beneath the level map?

4. Is there a "cheat sheet' with all the hot-keys somewhere?

Thanks guys! Looking forward to working with you. ;)

    Figured some things out:

    1. No start screen. "Respec" in the menu... :p

    2. Still a problem.

    3. Pressing CRTL+ENTER to change modes is great, but it's better to go CTRL+R to reset map. Pressing CTRL+ENTER twice almost always causes me to respawn under the map.

    4. Making my own... ;)

You probably have the placement "mode" in surface attach.
There are 3 different movement modes you can select just under the menu bar - 1) x/y/z movement, 2) rotation, 3) surface attach

If you are in wall/floor attach mode, it may not know exactly which surface you are trying to attach the detail to, and it finds the boundaries of the map as the surface. Change into the x/y/z or rotation modes before clicking on the selection cube. I end up doing the same thing as well since it defaults to the surface mode.

If you do drag/drop something in surface mode and can't see it, or think it went away, hit ctrl-z and that will "undo" your last movement/action.

Thanks! I've figured quite a bit out in the last few days but I'm sure there will be more questions. ;)
