Beaming somebody with a BOTS and break the spirit already eating them
I don't understand what you mean by this. Both mentioned powers reduce the targets' damage dealt (35% in total with 5% from the BOTS feat). How does that "eat" somebody if you use Punishing Light on them? I understand "eating" as "damaging", and that doesn't make sense for me.
Or do you mean a divine BtS, which also slows, so you can walk backwards while channeling PL, so the player can't come close? If so, then Forgemasters Flame also works - even better because it slows without having to use it in Divinity.
Having it perma but only useable while stationary would be similarly a bad thing.
I personally would like this better than moving and draining Divinity. But that's personal preference. My first class is a CW so I'm used to being stationary while using an at will.
In any case: I don't think the devs will remove the Divinity costs either way, so I just hope they at least reduce the costs...
Id wish something to counter CC and/or Knockbacks X-times in 60 seconds or whatever.
Been randomly in PvP yesterday, met a couple premate-teams... CW lifts me up, GF knocks me back or TR 3hitting me, also that smokebomb stuff feels annoying, the skillblock is not a heavy problem to me, but being additionaly unable to dodge and slow... -.-
Actually theres no real chance to get out of any CC chain. Read somewhere else, in general, a debuff on every directly followed CC could work I think.
The only possibility by now, is standing out of range from some CWs, thats on the others side: stand far away from your melees - TR, GF, GWF can be dodged atleast...

Hi there - what my imprecise terminology was referring to was stacking a multitude of damage over time (dot) effects on a player. Brand of the sun and break the spirit are both dots - as is punishing light. Hell - go sick and put a forgemasters on them as well if you have space on your bar for it. Having an unlimited punishing light would make it too useful for applying lots of dots in an endless rotation, while still being able to move around for the most part. As it stands now, I find punishing light to be situationally very useful - you can chase a runner to a certain degree much better than with a stationary skill, you can reposition while constantly doing damage to mess up someone's targetting, circle around the cap point pillar, back away out of range of one player while damaging another one chasing you etc. It locks you on target, even while you move. But you have to charge it up - and balance the use against saving it for a divine encounter.
And they did reduce the costs with an earlier patch. I think both versions of channelled divinity remain underused though.
Don't get me wrong - I'd welcome any and all DC buffs - seeing as how it feels the buff / nerf tally is very much not in our favour. Unlimited channelled divinity wouldn't be my first choice, and I believe it would eventually lead to us losing out somewhere else.
