So I've done a bit of selling on the AH and it's struck me that Iron Weapon Blades are always selling around the 120 to 150 AD mark. I've actually sold some for over 250 AD each in the past. All other basic, stage 1 crafted materials (Iron Plates, Simple Leather, Wool Cloth etc) sell for much, much less.
I'm definitely not complaining about this as it's a nice little earner (queue market getting flooded...lol). But anyone know why this is the case? Is there something I don't know about the upper levels of Weaponsmithing which means people are willing to pay for the materials to push them through the lower levels of that profession?
waste of time forging them when you can buy them cheap at AH. if you want more profit, sell alsoe the next weapon blades.

Well, weaponsmithing and artificing both require you to upgrade every item from +1 to +4/5. leatherworking, mailsmithing, and platesmithing, and tailoring don't require you to do that because there is always items you can make solely with mats from your current tier.
Other than that, the fact that they are newer is probably driving up prices as well since there isn't as much mats in peoples' bags from node harvesting.
