Celestial Grace Dye Pack question

Just as stated in the title, does using the dye pack will change the colours of my curret items I am wearing or will it change the colours of any future stuff I will put onto my character, or will it do something different and Im confused?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, but I couldnt find anywhere else to put this...

    It changes the colors of one item of your choice then it is used up. I would suggest copying over a character to the preview server and testing it out there before you purchase it on a live server.

    also a dye pack is different from a dye bottle in that it is a combination of colors. a dye bottle (for example, black dye) is a single color that you designate whether it goes on the primary, secondary or accent part of the gear. to fully change the color of an item, you would need three dye bottles or a single dye pack.
