Version 5.0 is publishing - I wonder how many versions I will end up with?
Changes:
- Added a wooden beam to one of the walls at Granny's
- Fixed grammar in ladt objective for To'hama
- Moved the overworld map icons
- Fixed the tree root protruding from rocky cliff at Yereshalen
- Removed mushrooms on top of stone dwellings at Yereshalen, since they were displaying incorrectly
- Changed the main Library doors into bigger versions, so they don't stand out so much.

Really enjoyed playing this. I set up tags and then accidentally clicked on "submit" before writing any comments I did tip you though because it was well worth it.
I didn't actually find all of the chalk symbols but solved the puzzle anyway (I had 3 by that stage and just interacted with the things, guessing correctly for the other 2). You may want to consider putting small invisible walls around them to stop people doing that until they find the symbols.
Other than that I did notice a couple of things:
Typos:
Claw - ...edges harder "then"... (should be "than")
Pig - With THE inhabitants
Item positioning:
One chalk symbol is floating above the surface it should be on (PM'ing detail to avoid spoiler)
The antidote was too high for my Halfling to reach whilst standing on the ground. I actually had to jump onto the stand to reach it.
My Foundry Quests:
The Silver Sword - NW-DEIPWYISA - Daily Qualified A Relaxing Stay - NW-DEEYNZYZ9 - Daily Qualified but going to be updated
That adds to the realism though. At least there was a stand to stand on.
Looks like a great quest.

I should clarify - I actually had to jump onto the antidote to reach it. Not the first time I've had a height issue in a foundry either - people often don't consider really short characters when putting interacts in high places. I'm used to finding solutions though.

Wow, I loved how you had sculpted the worlds, and the main library. Unfortunately, I got no further than the 2nd world because I just couldn't find the 4th circle to activate the stream. Maybe I was being blind, but after 30mins hunting I got frustrated and stopped.
Don't get me wrong, I loved what you have created, and maybe now-days were more used to be spoon-fed but the lack of clues made the adventure harder-work than it could otherwise be.
This is a shame and will turn many players away who otherwise would marvel at what you created, AND I did want to see more AND give you a 5* rating. The dialogue was also spot-on, no mistakes, easy to read and interesting.
Having not completed your story, it's up to you if you want to run my adventure in return. Like you, I've taken great care in "building my world" so to speak

The fact that you can do the puzzle without finding all symbols is intentional. Like I said in this thread before, in "Myst" games, you're sometimes able to wing it at puzzles with the good old "click until something happens" method, so I didn't want to take that away and stalling the players even more.
Thanks for cathing the typos, I will get around to them in next update.
I do realize you can't reach the antidote freely. I ran the quest (without finishing it on purpose, lol) with my side-account drawf and she had the same problem. However, I can't seem to find a solution to it that I am comfortable with, without redesigning the entire shrine. Since you are able to jump in the platform to grab it, I decided to leave it as it is.

You're probably missing the same seal that everyone keeps on missing, which is why I added a clue to it in version 4.0 update. However, like I said in your thread, drop me a PM and tell me which ones you did find, and I'll let you know how to get the missing one. If you have not scrapped the quest, you should be able to go back to To'hama and catch up quickly.
This is just another thing that got me thinking... Should I make a walkthrough for this quest, since so many people seem to be stuck on the seals?
Just an idea, in each map you could have an NPC who can give pretty obvious clues. (maybe refer to this in the opening chat with the Author NPC in the Library).
This way, those who want the challenge can stick with what's currently available, and those who have got frustrated or are more of the mind set that time equals money can fast-track to the easy mode.
I also think that this would help protect you * rating from "the angry online mob".

I don't think its actually a height issue. I jumped onto the pedestal to pick up the antidote on my half-orc. Thought it was intended.

I get what you mean, but I do not intend to give an easy way out in the quest itself (not talking about walkthrough here). The quest was designed to not be super easy and fast, mainly to scare off the speed-runners who never read anything and just click over every dialogue.
If they get stuck just because they don't read with understanding... then so be it, I will gladly take those one-stars.
In the nature/animal world, I could find Yoshka, Oni, and Arth, but could not for the life of me find the rest of the symbols. I had to guess, & get beat up by mobs. I am pretty sure I went everywhere I could go, and no sign of them. But since many others seemed not to have an issue with that, I suppose it's just me. Also, my halfling had trouble getting the antidote too, but I managed with timing jumps.
Finding the rune seals in To'hara was tough (took me a while to work out the sun & moon plates, & I fell once on the jumping platforms) but definitely doable.
And I was glad to be able to take a break between the two worlds. I was up to I think close to an hour just with the first one.
Beautifully crafted scenery, and nice dialogue. Intelligent, challenging puzzles. Looking forward to part 2!

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it The symbols puzzle was designed that way, so if you don't find them all you can still solve it, it will just take longer.
Oni'ka was on one of the huge trees not far away from the nature shrine, and Sookh was under the bridge
Since getting featured I have a lot of new reviews and I still find it a little silly that people complain about the lack of waypoints. I specifically added the 'Creator' NPC to explain that there will be no real clues... eh. I guess it's the same case of "not reading stuff" that has people complaining about length of the quest when they can clearly see it's 70 minutes average
Part 2 (called "The nature of darkness") is in the works, at least as much as it can be with editor down. Maps are more or less done, working on dialogues, puzzle mechanics and making three possible endings. It will be slightly more dark then the first part, since the main nemesis will be trying to get to the guardian first.
Can anyone please help me figure out how to complete the to'hama part of the quest...i found the seal in the building and on the walkway way up in the air, and i found it between the circles of sun and moon...i cant seem to find the fourth one..please help!

Ah, this is the one that always gets people, out of all four. You have to talk to Yeena, she will point it out.

Ha hah Part 2 is a WIP, and I also work on the small detective-story foundry at the same time.
But I slowed down with foundry making, mainly due to the fact that it's nearly impossible to get plays these days, without begging/trading for them.

Big, BIG thanks to everyone who helped me to get to this point - your feedback and plays made it happen
