First I would like to start by saying I'm a level 40 CW and I'm loving NW so far. It is definitely one of the best f2p mmo's I've played. However there are a few things that really bug me. I always wanted to ask on the forums but I couldn't because PWE makes you wait like 200 hours before you can post anything (like what the hell...)
Anyways, I've figured out most of the more noobish questions on my own, but There are still a few things I'm not too clear on. These are the things in this game that bug me the most so WARNING: there will be a little ranting


- Can I cancel my bid on an item? if not.....why dafuq not thats so stupid. I want my money back :P

- I play on my Alienware PC sometimes, and this game forces the Backlit off and makes the keyboard flash red and orange. Is there a way I can tern my LEDs back on so I won't eventually suffer from a Photosensitive Epilepsy attack??

- Why can't I zoom in and out on my char? Not being able to control the camera is a turn off for many people and it seriously bugs me (not so much now sense I've unwillingly gotten use to it). I read the thread on changing the FoV, but thats FoV....not exactly zoom. There is a difference. Is there ANY way I can zoom in so I can actually see my char? :P

- Will i be able to reset my skill tree at level cap?

-PLEASE tell me that they will add more PvP content soon, if not, then I don't think its worth playing this game if I can't pwn noobs in multiple gamemodes and maps. I like to PvP in my down time, but if its always going to be this lame, then maybe this isn't the game for me.

I'll answer what I can:

1. Never bid on an item, I only bought items outright. So I don't know.

2. Not sure.

3. Don't really know.

4. Not for free. You can respec at any time but it costs AD or ZEN.

5. I'd keep an eye on the forums for news about new modules. That's about the most reasonable, semi-educated guess as to when new content will be coming.

6. Anti-spam measure. Some time ago all PWE boards were hit with a massive rash of sports spam threads. Therefore, restrictions were placed on new posters.

7. Crowd control, at least in MMO parlance.

unfortunately, no. but if someone outbids you, your initial bid is mailed back to you. if you win the bid, the item will be mailed to you. you have to visit a mailbox or the courier to get your AD and items.

slightly related, if you put up an auction, you can remove it as long as no one has bid on it.

not sure what's going on there. i'd make sure i had all the current drivers and i'd check with alienware support as well.

you can zoom in and out on your character. if you press B, you will be able to zoom the camera in and out. if you want to change the field of view, you can do that in-game with the command

/gfxSetDefaultFOV 70

you can change the number to whatever suits you, but 55 is the default. this command can also be assigned to a keybind.

yes you can, but you will need to purchase a respec token for 300 zen. you can either buy zen from the zen store (300 zen is the equivalent of $3 US) or you can convert AD to zen at the astral diamond exchange. that is the third button over from the left on the top of your screen. at the current rate, 300 zen would cost you about 102k astral diamonds.

mmm maybe try turning off the lights altogether in AlienFX.
