For two days I have not been able to log into the game as the patch downloads fine but fails to fully install.
I get the following error message:
[C:/Program Files (x86)/Cryptic Studios/Neverwinter.exe] [Debug] [x86]
Error 36: A file was locked that could not be open for writing. Restart in 2.

Sucess! All I had to do was go to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Perfect World Entertainment\Neverwinter_en' and right click on the neverwinter launcher application. Then clicked run as administrator and clicked yes to the prompt so the game could make changes to the computer. The patch was re-downloaded and is now playable!
Hope this helps others with the same problem.
