Launcher patches then hangs on Cryptic-loading page 20%

It's still 2 hours ahead of the patch, but I can't get in. The launcher patches (very quick, so probably up to date), I hit Play, the black and white Cryptic screen comes up and starts to load. It gets to 20% or so, then stops. I try to close the window and Windows says "Not responding". I have to close it through Windows.
I'm on the 9th attempt now, same every time. I was playing fine last night (same computer, same account).
Did you guys turn something off ahead of the patch?

After 90 minutes of near constant attempts, it finally got past the loading screen and the game runs as normal.
