Hopefully they just make the peasant tunics BoP or the various pack garb unable to be transmuted onto another item...

TBH, though, the fact that you don't see that already leads me to believe that there's some other limitation in place.

Yeah that's what i hope too, you can't transmute the peasant's garb anymore, BoP peasant's fashion items, or something like that. That sounds like an easy/lazy fix so it may be the real fix.

Presumably because the peasant garb is white and the Sunite stuff is green while the stuff we'd normally transmute is purple. I don't really know because I've never transmuted before now, though; I'm just guessing.

I was wrong; went to transmute my DC's peasant pants into the perm pants and the cost was the same as for the temp pants. Maybe it depends on the rarity of the item you're changing the appearance of, not the one you're transmuting it into. I can't test this because I have no other fashion gear, so if anyone else wants to try it feel free.

You can't craft an 8 hour version of the garb, so how can you transform the peasant garb? by using let's say pants on the garb slot for transformation? And is it possible for the weapons too? I'm confused could someone explain? ^_^

Once your rank in the midsummer profession hits level 2 or 3, you can craft a version of the shirt and pants that only last for 8 hours. But if you have the peasant shirt / pants that Knox gives you when you've just started the game, you can right-click -> Change Appearance on your peasant shirt and transmute it to look like the 8-hour shirt. When you do this, you are still wearing your peasant shirt so it is permanent and does not disappear in 8 hours. However, your peasant shirt now looks like the shirt that disappears in 8 hours. It works the same way if you transmute your peasant pants instead. Using Change Appearance on an item allows you to dye an item and / or change its appearance (transmute it) to look like another item of that type.

I hope this makes more sense.

I have temporary garb, temporary pants, permanent pants, and permanent headware as options for my characters w/ R3 Midsummer Provisioning.

Oh ok yes thanks. And what would happen if I'd trasmute the shirt into the sunite garb, and then apply to it a dye? Would it be a dyed sunite or would revert into a dyed peasant?

It would still be a dyed Sunite. That's what I'm thinking of doing with mine. :)

That's what I did, and there's no timer. FYI, the female top dyed w/ many arrows dye has a nice dark grey look and the rose part is deep red.

    Wonderful :)

I would love to get my hands on the armor the guards around the event wear.
