Equipping Symbol weapon crashes game

So after finally getting the game working again after a long hiatus where the launcher wouldn't patch at all, by copyign a friends version over, I'm unable to log into my cleric because equipping a symbol crashes the game, having it equipped makes it crash on loading screen, and equipping in game crashes immediately.

I'm able to log into my second character, a GWF without issues, but forced to log in from another machine to unequip symbol if I want to log onto dwarf.

Any idea what could possibly cause this? I tried buying another symbol, instead of the High prophets symbol got the Unicorn one to see if that works, but same issue nonetheless.

Still no fix, logging back and forth fro mdifferent machines trying to get it working on the main one without luck. Soon as that holy symbol touches my fingers it crashes, kind of hard to do....anything without a weapon. Hopefully the Feywild update may fix this in 6 hours, but seriously doubtful.
