New companion ideas

So a friend of mine found a cool bug in a foundry and it got me thinking. There was a chest that turned out to be a mimic, since this mimic couldn't attack, it basically just followed them around tongue out, chomping and bouncing like a hyperactive puppy ;p

So why not! Why not have a mimic as a pet/companion! It could autoloot for you and do its small aoe ground slam. I think it would make an awesome companion, collectible even.

So what do you think of a mimic companion? What kind of companions would you like to see?

That's not a bug, there are no actual mimics in the Foundry, just a mimic skin you can assign to something that's not a mimic.

I just want them to fix the broken / useless companions they already have we don't need to add to the pile right now. Other then the stone or the cat there is no companion worth anything for T1 / T2 stuff they are all useless in comparison

I want a Mimic that pukes out 10000 AD every minute.

thats actually a pretty good idea, what if it did generate AD, what if you fed it your throw away loots and it converted that to AD within reason.

    Now THIS I like!
Even if it is a small amount for the junk, it would add up over the course of the Game. Maybe enough to cover your expenses for the new Feywild things?

Step 1: Obtain a Mimic companion

Step 2: Enter any Solo/Party Dungeon

Step 3: Find a Mimic and wake it up

Step 4: Enjoy watching Mimic Vs Mimic combat

PS. If cryptic added a mimic companion, I would throw money at them.

EDIT: On side not I also had an idea for the four skins it could have

    SKINS

Skin 1. The look of the plain, all wooden chest

Skin 2. The nicer looking wooden chest with the steel frame

Skin 3. The golden, fancy looking chest you get for completing solo dungeons and certain quest

Skin 4. The Super Fancy golden chest with the Dragon crest on it that you get for completing DDs during the event

There are already four chest models in the game already.

Here's what I'd like to see for a mimic companion:

    1. It'd probably be too powerful for it to have the jump up and knock back attack that regular mimics have, so just give it the "mimic chomp" attack.

    2. As a secondary ability, allow the owner to interact w/ the mimic to reveal that the mimic has, say, 12 additional inventory slots.

Your wish is granted! Sadly, the Mimic also consumes 10001 AD every minute, and can't be unequipped.

I have been pushing for a Mimic companion for probably a month now and I still wholeheartedly endorse this idea. :D

    Cue shades of Terry Pratchett...
    A world to defend
    A city to protect
    innocents to save
"Why?" They ask "they hate you"
We're heroes it's what we do.
