Well I chose Anointed Champion instead of the other thing to go for a mainly supportive Cleric, and it looks like everyone else chose the other thing. Does it really matter which you choose if you want to be a support DC?

Anointed Champion still has good tools to heal and buff people, they just have different tools than Divine Oracle. Check out this thread for a suggestion on how to build up an Anointed Champion with the Faithful tree (I'm using that guide right now for my cleric).

Ok so I ground my DC up to about level 30ish and I just wasn't feeling the Cleric like I had early on in the relationship. So I came to the boards to try and find a build that could perhaps salvage my love interest. I read over the OP's post and debated between the Divine Oracle and the Anointed Champion paths and in the end chose the Divine Oracle with the build the OP listed. Now, it's like a whole new toon and my DC are back in the swing of things! So, even after all the updates, mechanic changes, etc., OP's build is still solid and fun. Thanks!

That's great to hear, but don't be afraid to deviate from the OP's build. I respect people for taking the time to post their builds and offer advice to the community, but this build is a bit outdated (not surprising since it was posted in August).

If this build is out dated then are there any builds that are up to date?

You should be finding some other more recent builds within the first few pages of this subforum. There isn't a lot of magic or mystery to making a decent support DC build since there are many more suspect or downright unviable options than there are excellent ones.

Some notes/guidelines when creating your own support build (my opinions - your mileage may vary):

    - Toughness is a good investment. You DO want HP.
    - Healing Action is a poor investment.
    - Domain Synergy is just bad.
    - CHA really isn't that important.
    - 3 points in Rising Hope is a little excessive. If you really want it, 1 or 2 points will suffice.
    - Greater Divine Power (the 4th pip) is not a great choice.
    - Deepstone Blessing > Enduring Relief in most situations
    - Divine Advantage is worth a look even if not building Righteous. Mobs get combat advantage on players as well.
    - Righteous builds do fine in PvE, too. Faithful provides the most active healing bonuses, while Righteous provides the best passive defenses and some debuffing capability. Choose a primary tree according to play style preference.
