This kind of event makes it fun for solo players who dont have the time for Delvs nor the privilege of a static group, it gives solo pve players the chance to farm good items which they can trade for the gears they need.

Specially with how the drop rates in delvs has been lately......... its so refreshing to get a nice reward.

I personally think this is the worst thing they have ever done to the economy. I have just finished building up my mithral tools and was just starting to make some AD selling Gemmed Exquisite Shirts. And in 2 days, the price of Dragon Eggs has dropped like 400% or more(I am not absolutely certain about my math on the percentage) they went from around 150,000 AD, to around 30,000 AD the last time I checked. And Leather Gemmed Exquisite Shirts have dropped from around 300,000 AD, to around 180,000 AD. This pisses me off, at this rate, where it was going to take me about a month to recoup the AD I spent building out my mithral tools, it is now going to take me months. I thought the economy was doing just fine the way it is, and now its just HAMSTER. I am so disappointed by this turn of events. All that hard work leveling up my crafting skills and building out my mithral tools, down the drain. What a waste.

I disagree. While I think this has harmed some people, overall it is a good thing as a lot of people who didn't exploit will now have a fair amount of AD and valuable items and and be able to get Gemmed shirt/pants cheaply.

Of course if i was in your position I would feel the same way :(

It is nice to see somthing diferent to do every 2 or 3 weeks, and must admit i quite enjoyed the event for the first day, now i can't be bothered with it, my original thoughts were to put some time into the event and hopfully build up some AD to buy a zen mount or companion and after spending quite abit of time killing the right mobs for the box's top drop i have recieved just about everything they can drop.

I only have 1 big issue with the event, which is i now have 1 character with around 450k rough AD and another with slightly more, which sounds nice , but you can only refine 24k AD per day, lol, which means i have 2 charcters now that will need to log every day for the next 3 to 4 weeks just to refine the rough AD i have got, plus the AD i still have coming in daily from my leadership tasks.

It just does not make sence that the box's should be designed to drop 10k rough AD randomly per gift when you can only refine 24k per day. Just seems to me to be another thing implemented into the game without proper thought put into it from the start.

As for the Eggs i have to agree the drop rate is stupidly high, and yet another thing implemented without any thought imo, the stupidly high drop rate of Eggs as without a doubt ruined most crafting professions, which pre event were quite stable. Like the previous post as said it as caused a chain of efects which have now efected every thing conected to crafting professions and brought alot of the asepts, tools etc prices tumbling down by a big jump, some less than half the the pre event prices, which is a real Kick in the face for all those crafters who have been working hard every day to build up their crafting tools , this added on top of the last patch which made the crafting skill of reinforcing bracers near totaly useless, again after many many people had invested a great amount of time and AD to be able to do the task.

I am getting fed up of these events and patches which actualy give you somthing good to do and work for, then a week or two later they completly take them away, whithout no real reason at all

How ? you can only refine 24k per day, by the time you have finaly refined a amount to buy said Gemmed Shirt/ pants all the prices will have gone back up high after all the cheap eggs have dried up

What 'valuable items' ?? the only valuable item is the AD which you cant refine all at once, the eggs were worth 80 to 100k AD pre event , but now you can buy them on the AH for 20k or less and dropping more by the hour there are no 'valuable items', this event as actualy made some valuable items now near worthless

There is a problem with that statement because if a lot of AD gets pumped into the market the AD will, usually, be worth less. The same thing happens to "valuable items". You're probably not getting as much out of those Gifts as you think you are, at least not for the first 1-2 weeks until the economy has recovered.
Apart from the severe impact this had on the economy I'm enjoying the event very much.

At 24K a day, you only need around 10 days to get a Gemmed shirt, less than that right now..

You could also hold on to your Dragon's Eggs, as a hedge If the price of Gemmed shirts goes up it is almost certain that the the price of Dragon eggs which is the most costly ingredient will have gone up too.

True, the more AD and valuable items there are the less comparatively they are worth. But even so it is still a significant amount for many new players and non-exploiters/ 'Experienced' Fast DD runners, etc.

AD and items will be a bit more spread out, which can only be a good thing.

You contradict yourself, yes 10 days to refine 240k ad, (to achieve that you would HAVE to log in every day, some people only play at weekends etc) and in 10 days the price of Eggs and gemmed shirt/ pants will have undoubtably gone up too, which was my point..

    Your point is wrong.

The price of gemmed shirts/pants will not go back to normal over the course of just 10 days - there are far too many eggs right now for that. Also as I and another poster pointed out, if you do believe that this will happen just save some eggs to sell later, because by your same 'logic' their price will also go up....

i like this event too, but having issues with crashes several times recently, i didnt have any problems few weeks ago, now that Protector's Enclave is horrible, and cant move much, crashing so much as i tried running to "gates" to zone out to outer regions of Neverwinter or local zones just to avoid protector's enclave zone.

personally i believe it need to change that zone into few seperate sections, Market, Quest spot npcs, and mailbox/bank. that enclave is huge and crowded.

anyway, wish it would extend that event, but now i am barely playing, and getting tired of doing those "verifyings" for every 10-20 mins checking after all the crashes and only to play for 1-2 mins and then crash in PE zone, so i am losing 30 mins just to wait each time, and i said, forget it.

i have been having the same issues this weekend too. i am ok in most zones but if i visit the Enclave then leave my memory usage jumps up from 15% to 75%+ and i have 16 gigs of memory, if i log out and back in it is ok for a while.

Same thing was happening a few eeks ago, but not as bad as it as been this weekend, and the problem was put down to a in game 'memory leak' which i am positive is what is happening again this weekend, i know it is nothing at my end as all my other
games work perfectly fine even on ultra settings

the fact that none has been smart enough on my server to exploit the stupidness of people is astounding. If you play it smart and stockpile and be a little patient it'll all work out in the end.....i mean sure prices are low now but what about in a week or a month after the xpac hits.....play it smart and you'll make more than ever before. I mean really......why whinge now........let stupid be stupid. And with all the gear changes coming with the xpac......well any smart business man already has his ducks in a row. Do your self a favour and fram your *** off.......

Strange I was under the impression this was a game, not a stock market simulator.
