Glad you liked my idea Henzai...

What most of the people here seem to be missing, is the need to make dealing with mobs, instead of avoiding them, worthwhile.

That depends on the oumph the new gear gets. I don't want it to be overly strong, I just want it to be epic on any way (and when i say epic DPS an GS is the last thing i think of)

True. But its a thin line. And was where I made my original comment about they'd be worthless or the players being worthless. What I meant (and I shouldn't have said it so harshly) was that if they make the artifact gear even a little bit to good then it becomes the new standard for everything. If its not boosted enough in some way, then most would consider it not worth the time to get it.

Last time I played GW2 they had a similar theme. Legendary items mostly just had different looks and stat allocations than exotics but were of similar power. They gave up on it and decided to boost Legendary gear power and added another rank of gear (Ascended) somewhere in the middle. Not sure where that mess ended up.

I like this game a lot, but I wouldn't trust the developers to be up to the balancing act. It would be cool if they proved me wrong though. :)

Yes, there's no reason to trash thousands of mobs at the moment, not after you get the slayer title atleast

Yes, there is a fine line to walk there, and I don't know if it's possible to get it perfect... But I would like to see cryptic try it out atleast

Haven't tried it since that random company locked my account for no reason at all and i lost my investments in them... so i don't know about that at all. Glad we got the differences sorted though

Your saying items are worthless on the AH.. If purples didn't drop and weren't available for sale what is going to be on the auction house? craft tools and ingredients? If people can't do content or don't have the time and want to buy pieces that is their loss. If items are cheap due to oversupply so what. What does it matter if items are cheap.. If items are priced above your means learn to run the content.

The real issue is the delves, there is no incentive to run content outside of these timeframes. You already see it in zone chat. It full of LFG just prior to and during delves then dies off. No delves on people log off. This leads to the skipping behaviour IMO. People want to try and get the most out of the minimal good dungeon time. If the dungeon delves didn't exist the skipping and rushing would be less likely and more people would be willing to waste time running content outside of the delves set times

Honestly these threads make me think either someone is crying because the items they are farming are worthless or they are upset they wasted huge amounts of zen/AD buying gear when it was expensive instead of farming it.

Somehow it feels as if you didn't read the thread. This thread is about (and only about) giving players more incentive to run delves when the dungeon bonus isn't up

    I came I saw..

This thread is about skipping mobs and rushing dungeons and purple loot being worthless, while trying to give suggestions for reasons people should fight through trash mobs. I have no real issue with fighting endless amounts of trash mobs, I do it all the time. With a good group thrash mobs go quick and if they can be knocked off that's fun too.

This leaves purple loot being worthless, and finding a reason to run dungeons outside of the delves bonus. If there was similar(not exact amounts as that would be too high) amounts of loot available outside of the delves bonus, instead of the massive grind for 1 piece to share between 5 there would be more incentive to run dungeons and less delve chasing and rushing during the bonus times.

As are the other threads of the same theme
